INTRODUCTION

1.1 INTRODUCTION

This chapter consists of the background of this research topic and the problem statement of this research which are elaborated. The purpose of doing this research is also stated in this chapter. The objectives of this research are 4 in total and the research questions that were asked also stated. The early assumptions of this research or also known as hypothesis are stated and the limitations as well as the definition of terms in this research. The conclusions for this chapter were also constructed.

1.2 BACKGROUND

Dengue fever is a disease caused by one of a number of viruses that are carried by mosquitoes. These mosquitoes then transmit the virus to humans (Encyclopedia). The disease, from it

1.6 RESEARCH QUESTIONS

(1) Does the crab soup really cure the Dengue fever or it just some rumours out of nowhere?

(2) Does the crab soup is effective enough to be used as the cure of Dengue fever?

(3) Are the crab soup only effective in some cases of Dengue fever or for all Dengue patients including those who are dying?

(4) If the crab soup really does effective, does it works only as the medicine that should be taken by schedule or as a daily meal?

1.7 RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS

For the crab soup as the cure of the Dengue fever :

Null Hypothesis, H0 : The taken of crab soup has no effect on treating the Dengue fever.

Alternative Hypothesis, H1 : The taken of crab soup has an effect on treating the Dengue fever.

1.11 CONCLUSION

Dengue disease still has no cure so as to find the cure and decrease the numbers of people who died of Dengue, society now have something to be their daily meal in order to lessen the probability of getting affected by Dengue virus such as crab soup. Since the crabs are easily found in Malaysia, there is no problems for the society to have the crab soup and there won’t be need to invest money in buying medicine which are not affordable.
