The debate on the origin has always been a controversial issue. There have been several theories that have tried to explain the origin of human beings with the evolution theory and creationism being the most prominent. Evolution theory was first formulated by Charles Darwin who believed that everything has life is related for instance all the human being had a similar origin. Creationism has its basis on faith. Creationists believe that the earth was created by one supreme being.

Evidence such as paleontology, geology and development theory support the notions of evolution. The main points of the evolution theory are that all the things that are on earth are related and are connected with each other and life is diverse because of modifications of the various populations by natural selection where some traits are favored in certain environments while others are not favored. In creationism, we find the god is the creator of everything, but they have become diverse thus evolving into new forms. We consider the biblical story of Noah as an important aspect of creationism. Following the article, we find that human beings assault the environment at an arming rate. We are continuously using harmful substances such as fertilizers and pesticides and these are harmful to the environment. A good example of the effect of environmental destruction is the global decline in the population of the honey bees. Honey bees in China, for instance, have declined because of the excessive use of pesticides.
It is quite obvious that our prosperity depends on protecting the environment and ensuring that the resources are not wasted so that future generations have a good place to live. But we find that the society values the economic aspect more than the environment. When firms release pollutants to the environment they are fined instead of being banned from such actions, and we find that the various legal institutions that should be protecting people are the ones putting a price on the environment.
