It was stimulating, exciting, and motivating. This documentary possessed all of the qualities of a must see movie.

His insightful use of satire is the redeeming quality of the movie for me, which in turn allows me to appreciate the dark humor that encapsulates the film. I fear much of the American public will denounce the presentation as untimely and callous to the fears that are so widespread. I hope we can all take away something meaningful from this film and realize the shortcomings of certain ideologies like technological competition that we have clung to during the war. The film Rosemary’s Baby was a film produced in the late 60’s. This film is considered to be one of the scariest movies of all time and famously known because of the realism within the story. It challenges the mind causing it’s viewers to believe this sort of incident could happen in real life. Although the film is an obvious exaggeration, it triggers an alarm to sound within us and signals as a warning to the severity of the situation. For my essay, I will be analyzing and comparing the cultural representation of hyperreality from two films: Bladerunner (1982) directed by Ridley Scott and The Matrix (1999) directed by the Wachowskis. Both films are of the science fiction genre. The main reason I have chosen to compare these two particular films is because they share the common theme of figuring out what’s real and what’s not. Hyperreality is an over exaggeration of the real, which ultimately deems the replica as a fake “real”. A hyperreality is a simulation and has no real origin.

To many, dreams have been a mystery since the beginning of time because they have the ability to impact someone's life socially and mentally. In Lorraine Hansberry's novel, A Raisin in the Sun and John Steinbeck’s film, Of Mice and Men, both deal with characters who struggle to pursue their dreams. Fulfilling a dream has the ability to save or destroy someone's life which is why the characters face challenges while trying to achieve them. It either satisfies the family or himself.

The American dream is an opportunity to start a new life for oneself and others. American Dream is important for our American culture today because for one to dream and succeed is a proud moment. In our society today an American dream is a literary trope due to its a repeated allegory with recurring images or figure of speech. A dream presents a goal to a person in hope for a better future. For example, the American Dream presents a person, who becomes successful, has a honest earning, and has a secured future. Many articles, like Cal Thomas’s, Brandon King’s and Bob Herbert, and the Great Gatsby discuss the American Dream. They describe how the American dream does or does not hold true in modern society. Majority of the American Dream like having a honest earning and a secured future impact today’s society; whereas, some parts of the American Dream like becoming rich does not.

Being able to dream is one of the major rights a person can have. And also being able to pursue that dream is also another step forward. Having the same opportunities as other people is seen as one of the most important rights a person can have in this world. Each of the characters in the Younger family has a particular individual dream. One wants to move to a bigger home, one wants to attend medical school, one wants to rise above his social class though does not necessarily have a plan to do so.
