The morning felt almost too-perfect. Leaving my home felt like taking a step into an Elysium field. This whole scene was studded with white clouds. Walking down the gravel pathway I heard the slightest movement of each stone. The breeze was as fresh as a dewy field. Along the pathway, there were some cottages on each side. I noticed an arch covered with vines, almost as if it was trying to hide from this world. Beyond the vines it seemed as if someone had swallowed every bit of light. The temptation of entering was unbearable. All I could see was darkness. I looked behind me and the vines weren't there anymore. I inched forward trying to find the exit but then I slipped, and tumbled down a tunnel. I ended up in a huge cavern. The cavern …show more content…
They looked almost the same age but there was one who seemed slightly older than the rest. They were stunned when they saw me. What was a person like me doing in an underground cavern? "I told you that you needed to fix the ceiling!" shouted the first witch. "Oh, don't start blaming me. Blame Celestine." replied the second witch. Celestine seemed infuriated, "Why should Aurelia and Rose blame me for not fixing the ceiling?" "They blame you because you are in charge of the Earth element." said the other. "Stay out of this Arabella." Aurelia and Rose exclaimed in unison. "Madame Scarlet? Do you think there should be such chaos because of the ceiling?" asked …show more content…
When I came up to the part about the arch covered by vines they all gasped. She then continued to ask me more questions, "And, have you ever seen that archway before in your life?" "No." I replied. All the other witches started to mutter between each other. From what I could pick up, one of them said, I knew it was Morgana" Being so confused I asked the group who Morgana was. Madame Scarlet replied," A long time ago, Morgana was one of us. She was a good witch. I, myself, don't know what happened but she changed so much. She turned into an evil witch. We are trying to stop her , that is why we are living under ground. She sees everything but what is under the earth, that is where her powers are limited. She also has the power to change people's imagination. That's why you saw the archway. Now she is trying to take over the whole world and if she succeeds, then we all are going to be her slaves. Would you come and help us defeat her? Please. We need all the help we can get." "I don't really know if I would like to help you or not." I admitted. Madame Scarlet replied, "I will give you one day to think about it. If you decide to help us, come here and we will meet
She took another tunnel and it lead outside so she got a vine and started to climb it and held to the tree. She had been up there so long night had fallen. When dawn had awoken she awoke and looked at her surroundings. She got down and agin amusly with the arrows. She finally came to a fork in the road.
“So sorry I startled you, poor things,” she swaggered towards them, stopping directly in front of Jackson. She appeared to be sizing him up. “What brings you two here?”
Octavian Carson was an intern at Manton 's only animal clinic. The clinic itself was a corner piece of a strip mall that had long since been abandoned. It had a few poster of typical vet stuff and a cat hanging on a rope with the words Hang in there! Which was Octavian personal favorite. Along one of the walls was a bulletin board filled with photos of pets and there owners.
"No. The others have mentioned nothing. Besides, I won't ask. There are enough crazy notions between us to put off the
I was too unpredictable. " Natalie...we want you to come with us." Sadie said,
The trail did not seem like it was ever going to end it stretched out for mile and miles and then miles after that but she kept walking. I made myself hold back unasked and unanswered questions. I asked her to walk with me. “No one can possible make you
When the narrator goes nearer to the tunnel, he says, “… terminating in a gloomy red light, and the gloomier entrance to a black tunnel, in whose massive architecture there was a barbarous, depressing and forbidding air.” The adjectives, “gloomy” and “black” give the readers a deep impression of the story that there is something unusual about this place. This helps the readers to understand that the atmosphere is dark, mysterious and somehow depressing, indicating the darkness where there is barely a light to be seen in a particular area. By setting the atmosphere as such, it tingles the readers’ curiosity of what might happen next in such dark place with two men. In addition
“There was a secret panel in this house,” she said craftily, not telling the truth but wishing that she were,
Its ever-changing walls, numerous dead ends and unspeakable horrors were starting to irritate me. But just a bit. Every now and then, the walls would rumble and quake at the might of an otherworldly roar; prompting me to tremble like a little girl in my pathetic excuse I call shoes. The Elders had sent me- no, thrown me into this hellhole, jabbering on and on about how this is teach me a lesson, that I never listen to instructions and this was the last

I woke up in the camp tent for the first time to the sound of rifles shooting. I arrived yesterday and I could see the soldiers training, that’s mostly what they do here. From dawn to dusk, until the light is gone, they train. Well, that and gambling of course. I am in Sharpsburg, Maryland and it is September 16, 1862.
I walked out of the door into the long hallway and began to walk around the asylum. I saw a large window
"Well, this is definitely a first," a booming voice sounded. It didn't really come from any specific direction either, it just seemed...present. "You know, I always thought your soul would look more....dazzling when you weren't actively trying to hide yourself." It looked like a throne room, except it didn't. The large "room" if one could call it that, was so massive it made the largest of modern sky scrapers look tiny.
You should try to see the brighter side of things. " she waits for me to join alongside her before continuing up the stairs. " Besides, it will help to have a positive mind for the battle ahead." " Yeah... having a 'positive mind ' when it 's constantly polluted by fear is tough."
