Property crime is an issue that affects the community. It has a category of crime that includes other crimes
like: burglary, larceny, motor vehicle theft, arson, and vandalism. Property crime involves the taking of property,
and does not involve threat of force against a victim (Ellingworth,1995). These are the following major crime such as
theft, robbery, budol-budol, snatching and hold-up. Theft and Robbery refers to the act of stealing of money or it is done
with intent to gain, shall take any personal property belonging to another, by means of violence against or intimidation of

Theft is committed by any person who, with intent to gain but without violence against or intimidation of neither
persons nor force upon things, shall take personal property of another without the latter’s consent. Robbery is forcible
stealing. Snatching a form of robbery was force is not used beyond that needed to take property from another person.

Modus Operandi refers to a pattern of criminal behavior so typical that separate crimes may be recognized as
the work of the same wrongdoer. The activity of the crimes must be both similar and unique in such a way as to commit
the crime to a single person. Modus Operandi is the usual way that a particular criminal performs a crime in order to
gain profit. Modus operandi is a method of doing something, especially one that has characteristic. (Harvey 1999)
( Atcherley circa 1880).
Modus operandi of robbery, this group robs wealthy homes by tricking unsuspecting house helpers into helping them
get to the homeowners’ cash and valuables. Plan of attack: Remember that PLDT caller I.D. commercial? That’s

Modus operandi of Budol-budol Gang can strike anywhere using their so-called powers of hypnotism and
"boodle" or counterfeit money--hence the name--that turn out to be just sheets of paper. Interestingly, Google Translate
says "budol" means "gullible person." Plan of attack: Their M.O. may have evolved over the years but here’s their basic
tactic: They blackmail their victims into giving them valuables or cash in exchange for a bag filled with fake bills or
products. In one reported instance in 2008, two suspected Budol-Budol Gang members managed to get a cellphone, a
Walkman, and P2, 000 from an unidentified 16-year-old girl in Cebu. The male and female suspects claimed they were
looking for a vehicle to transport their things. Before they went to search for a vehicle, they asked the girl to hold on to a
bag supposedly filled with money. In return, they got the girl to give them her valuables as a sort of safety deposit.

Frank Trippett, in his excerpt from “A Red Light for Scofflaws”, claims that these days, every law-abiding citizen commits crimes no matter how big or how small. First, he provides general facts about the average citizen and what they do that goes against the law. He continues by stating that more and more people are becoming criminals by their actions. Trippett’s goal is to inform the public that whether a bank is being robbed or trash is being thrown out the window, it is still a crime. The author asserts an informative and knowledgeable tone for anyone who may think the word “crime” only has a strong meaning when it is related to a life-threatening or dangerous act.
Many of them flee to a part of the world the gang hasn’t reached, or they surrender to the law. Eventually, human conscious takes over and there 's nothing they can say
The Gang has a long history in dealing with many major crimes. Some of these include; weapons trafficking, dealing with narcotics and most importantly, Murder. In 2013, police have arrested 43 gang
"The Zetas have obviously assumed the role of being the number 1 organization responsible for most the homicides, the narcotic-related homicides, the beheadings, the kidnappings, the extortions that take place in Mexico," said US Drug Enforcement Agency’s chief for Mexico and Central America Ralph Reyes after the cartel murdered a police chief, his wife and four children in Veracruz, Mexico. Los Zetas were originally based on military lines, but the group has now been built into a business structure, with quarterly meetings, business ledgers, even votes on key assassinations, the DEA said. Los Zetas also post videos on the internet showing the killing of people. In one clip, posted in 2013, a group of masked men behead four women who allegedly were tied to a rival gang: The Gulf Cartel. The DEA is trying to stop the large drug distribution through foreign affairs but do not seem to be that big of a success Richard, F. (2013, March 1).
According to the aforementioned article about Americas 11 most powerful prison gangs, they state, “The gang's income comes from distributing cocaine, heroin, marijuana, and methamphetamine within the prison systems and on the street.” It is also known that when a member gets released from prison they are to continue to put in work for the Aryan
Street gang members will be the outlaws or rebels because they do criminal activities such as violence, drugs, robbery and so on. With increasing crime rates in Rio Sellas, Chief Police decided to implement a new type of community policing to arrest these criminals. On the other hand, gang treated this order as a piece of paper and does not mean anything to the gang philosophy. Temporary Restraining Order can expect resistance and alternative methods to decrease the issues with street
Starting at creating and selling drugs to expanding to organized assassinations, the gang hit the radios almost daily. In a recent study by Compton Education, “the Five Point Gang started as dated back to the 1800’s” (8). Back then, people were beginning to become fascinated with gangs and the notorious gangsters. The Five Point Gang was very clever, controlled numerous brothels, gambled at the most luxurious places, and took over most of Brooklyn to earn all of their money.
This gang consisted of hundreds of people forming together to not only rely on each other but to protect each other from harm's way. I mean don't get me wrong they still did illegal acts, gang members were given a list of illegal activities that they would have to do in order to recieve benefits of being in the gang which in turn if
These individuals have formulated small groups of individuals organized in many different locations throughout the United States. Although, the gang maintains their high status ties with their El Salvador counterparts, they continue to grow cliques in other parts of the Unites States and are known to be in operations of at least forty two states across the globe, as well as the District of Columbia estimating a membership total of over 36,000 in one area alone. Unfortunately, the members of this notorious gang are male and female who range from children as young as thirteen years of age to adults as old as forty. In addition, to the many cliques they have all over the US, and the age of these individuals, they are also, covered with tattoos all over their bodies from head to toe, and are known to wear the colors of their El Salvadoran flag, blue and white (Domash,
They examine current gang management strategies and see what works and does not. They completed their research by survey. “First, according to the respondents, inmate containment and sanctions were perceived to be very effective at managing gangs…. The second strategy is based on investigations, which if successful, also increases the costs of being affiliated with a STG through internal and external sanctions… Last, respondents placed great value on using the products of these investigations through intelligence sharing within their prison system, other correctional systems, and with law enforcement (Winterdyk & Ruddell,p. 734.
Fighting crime is expensive, and civil forfeiture can be used to undermine criminal activity and reimburse local law enforcement “without the need to seek additional outside resources” (Worrall, 2008). Law enforcement agencies tend to struggle with budget cuts, so civil forfeiture offers a leg to stand on. In 2011, Holcomb, Kovandzi and Williams stated in their research “almost forty (40) percent of respondents agreed or strongly agreed to the statement that civil forfeiture is ‘necessary as a budget supplement’” (p. 275). Though civil forfeiture is often associated with drug enforcement, it can be applied to a variety of crime control, including illegal drug markets, nuisance properties, street racing, drunk driving and prostitution (Worrall, 2008).
Even seemingly barbaric gangs search for order in society and provide security and comfort for the impoverished. People are naturally inclined to help others and act socially, especially
Early on, MS-13 was a loosely organized collection of smaller gangs that focused on extorting local businessmen and small-scale drug trafficking operations. Unfortunately for law enforcement, MS-13’s operations have expanded past extortion, homicide and drug trafficking. Sonja Wolf finds that, MS-13 engages in robbery, auto theft, rapes, kidnappings, and the trafficking of women for sexual exploitation,” and that, “Over time, gang members have been increasingly implicated in robberies, the illegal possession or carrying of firearms, drug sales, rapes, and especially extortions and homicides. Gang youth have moved from levying minor taxes in their territories to running extensive extortion rackets. Shopkeepers, sex workers, students and teachers, taxi and bus companies must all comply with the requests, though the transport sector is most heavily affected.
Violent Crimes: Street Versus White-Collar Crimes in the United States such as burglary and robbery roughly cost four billion a year. According to safeguard the world only seventeen percent of the homes in U.S. have a security system. “The New York Times” Street crime is a loose term for any criminal offense in a public place. White-Collar crime is non-violent crimes committed by business or government professionals for financial gain. Street crime vs. White-collar crime is controversial because street crime is more out in the open and it is most common.
