There is a type in Hollywood’s crime films that deals with the criminology as a social phenomenon which controls the human beings or certain groups in a realistic style we all know it’s in our society or other communities, those films address the criminality in a sociological way. The second type of movies, violence and murder appears but they characters are actually not real, they are either a myth or some kind of fantasy that doesn’t exist, like zombies as an example, this type attracts a lot of viewers, however, the mental and emotional feelings interact with each but to a certain point, even if the viewer liked the plot or the story effected him, he still disconnects, loses concentration of the idea and realises that such a story is just a fantasy because in real life zombies don’t exist. Although, the effect of those films which focus on the instincts should still be in consideration because they could still effect some groups with psychological problems that are in a risk of schizophrenia through any kind of a shock, especially if they got addicted to those kind of films, it can push them to believe those stories and separate them from reality, the consequences can be bad that can actually lead them to have the desire to hurt others because of hallucinations or strange ideas that may …show more content…
Of course that didn’t discourage Hollywood’s producers to produce more films, in fact it made them make a second or a third part of the story or even new films. The situation turned into greed for the producers after a while, when we look at this kind of movies now that exceeds the amount of aggression and violence, it gets successful more and even gets famous across the whole
A theory that discusses the effects of a tainted community on the psychology of a person is the Psychodynamic Theory. According to Point Park University (2021), the Psychodynamic Theory suggests that crime is the result of conflict between the id, ego, and superego. The application of the theory can be seen in the film, according to Youtube (1991), when Tre becomes involved in drug dealing. Despite his father's teachings, Tre is drawn into the life of drug dealing as it is a standard in Crenshaw. Within the film, he constantly struggles with trying to do the right thing by staying away from other wrongdoers.
The positive school which include the concepts of eugenic criminology, ID, Ego, Superego, modeling theory, mesomorph and positive reinforcement I believe explains the criminality in the film exceptionally well. The film begins when their still children and all but Tre has a father figure around. Although Tre’s parents are separated his father Furious takes him in from his mother Reva. There

In the film, “Tales of the Grim Sleeper” it explores the different realms of sociology. In this essay I will be discussing the main sociology topics in this film. The main topics were race, class, sex, crime and justice, the economy, and sociological research methods. I will be talking about how deviance of serial killers intertwine with sociology.
For my article I chose, “Decision Making in the Crime Commission Process: Comparing Rapist, Child Molesters, and Victim-Crossover Sex Offenders” by Eric Beauregard, Benoit Leclerc, and Patrick Lussier. In traditional beliefs it suggests sex offenders are mainly driven by an uncontrollable urge to sexually offend. This article takes a looks into comparing how rapist, child molesters, and victim-crossover sex offenders make their criminal decisions. It investigated how decision-making is involved in target selection. The researchers used mixed methods along with Clarke and Cornish’s decision-making model to evaluate the offender’s actions.
In response to the declining numbers of moviegoers, the films essentially had to become edgier and reach previously untapped markets. These new films, when compared to classical Hollywood films, explore
In Crimes and Misdemeanors, directed by Woody Allen, we follow two stories. The first one shows a crucial moment in the life of Judah ' Rosenthal (Martin Landau), a well-succeeded ophthalmologist who ends unpunished after ordering the murder of his mistress Dolores Paley (Anjelica Huston) to salve his reputation. The crime avoids the destruction of his marriage and family and prevents the revelation of his financial indiscretions related to the raised money to the new ophthalmologic wing of the hospital. The second one presents Clifford Stern (Woody Allen), a filmmaker who cannot succeed producing documentaries about complex social issues. He tries to broadcast his documentary about the philosopher Louis Levy (Martin Bergmann) while works for his brother-in-law Lester (Alan Alda), a prestigious TV producer.
What impact has the social construction of crime had on fear of crime, our view of victims and offenders and resulting criminal justice policy? The media has been influential in shaping the way society thinks about certain issues, including crime. This essay argues that social construction has a negative impact on society’s view of the fear of crime, victims, and offenders. It’ll also study how social construction affects government policy.
Assignment Nine Critical criminology is the idea that the media and the criminal justice system are the things that shape the publics view on crime. These sources influence our ideas of who commits crime and who is victimized by crime. These sources use their influence of crime to continue to control how the public sees crime and uses that to further their own agenda. Whereas, left realism is the idea that the depicted visions of crime are somewhat true. Some people are more likely to be victimized, however the media and criminal justice systems over exaggerate these crimes in order to instill higher levels of fear.
It has been observed that there are numerous researches conducted on youth crime particularly in the United Kingdom which gave the emphasis on young individuals as offenders instead of victims of crime. Moreover, radical criminology significantly contributed to understand the youth crime through different theories. According to Yar (2012), radical criminology is known as the conflict philosophy. It centres its perceptions on crime and on regulation in the faith that capitalist civilisations precipitate as well as describe crime as the possessors by sense of production utilise their influence to endorse commandments that would regulate the working class and suppress intimidations to the supremacy of the governing class. Radical criminology draws together the studies of interactionism, labelling, Marxism, critical criminology and gender which provide the understanding of youth crime from different perspective as discussed in the paper.
Criminology is the wider area that is used to evaluate the context of crime. The scientific study of criminals and crime is used for evaluating the basis and reasons of crime done by people. It makes use of different theories and school of thought in order to analyse the reasons behind criminal activities. The main purpose of this paper is to consider one criminology theory or school of thought. The criminology theory that is used for analysing the requirements of this paper is rational choice theory.
1) In the 1942, two criminology analysts from the "Chicago School" of criminology, Clifford Shaw and Henry D. McKay created social confusion hypothesis through their research. The hypothesis of social disruption expresses a man 's physical and social conditions are basically in charge of the behavioral decisions that a man makes. Shaw and McKay guaranteed that wrongdoing was not caused at the individual level, but rather is an ordinary reaction by typical people to irregular conditions. Shaw and McKay distinguished a "circumstances and end results" connection between social disorder a the breakdown of casual social securities, so youth in the zone on the move were liberated from social limitations or controls, they were allowed to accumulate on road corners, without grown-up supervision prompted arrangement

The essay “ Is Hollywood Responsible for 9-11?” by Robert Roten. With people like Robert Atman blaming Hollywood for September 11 attack on the world trade center in New York. My question is Hollywood really the blame in the end for giving the idea to terrorist.
The concept of psychopaths and sociopaths in Western society and culture is not clearly defined, and covers a great range of character, attitudes and behaviour. This range includes everything from someone who is introverted and not socially adept to mass murderers and cannibals. Characters of psychopaths in early films were often created without a real understanding of psychopathic personalities. They were often portrayed as caricatures, being emotionally unstable, sadistic, sexually compulsive and with an urge to engage in random violence, murders, and destruction. This was often accompanied by bizarre mannerisms, such as giggling, laughing, or facial tics, often creating famous but unreal characters.
