We do our best so that the community comes out of the ER happier than when they arrive. I believe our impact goes unnoticed physically, because most of our efforts are making sure our patients are emotionally healed as well as physically. Even though it can be stressful to have to tell someone that their work isn 't correct, it can still be very beneficial to that person. After the first peer review I became more accepting to the idea of letting someone tell me what was wrong with my paper. I think it’s a great way to get another persons view on your paper. Along with peer reviews are revisions plans and they too can be beneficial because that gives the writer the opportunity to see their mistakes and correct them. On all my assignments I have used these tools and I have also visited the writing center on one of my assignments, which was very helpful.
In today’s session, group members were to identify which old friends are or aren’t supportive of their recovery, learn how to meet and develop new friends that are healthy and helpful for their recovery, and discuss ways to break off harmful relationships that are hindering their recovery. PO was on time and moderately participated in the group discussion and activities. PO shared personal experiences and ideas on how and where to meet new people, such as attending support groups, or participating in community activities. PO also shared with the group about how to overcome fear of rejections and limitations in developing new friendships. PO’s behavior and participation are consistent with the action stage of change.

PO completed the worksheet for Family Rules and openly shared her responses in group, stated “I was taught to avoid anyone who isn’t part of the family, and keep the family circle tight”. PO indicated that she needs to learn how to set and maintain healthy boundaries for herself and the people that she associates with. PO had appositive response to treatment today. I enjoyed reading about your experiences in the hospital setting while the enactment of change was taking place. I can tell you that where I work we also had some resistance towards the implementation of huddle. There was a back and forth in the beginning of the three stages of Kurt Lewin’s change theory that I witnessed. I happened to be in the lead of making huddle something we did prior to every shift. In the unfreezing stage I sent out an email and on day one I was happy and eager so I gave a small motivational speech on how this would improve poor communication via the daily huddles.
Non benefit work is the absolute most satisfying work you can include themselves in. Consistently I help my Mother 's non benefit with their occasions and their showcasing. I cherish giving my opportunity to them with the goal that I can see the work show into important change. I 'll give you an illustration. The last pledge drive I worked I helped by producing buzz for the occasion, checked individuals in at the front counter, and after that gave out prizes to kids.
The most constructive way in responding back to the residents is paraphrasing back what they said with open-ended questions. I also try to respond back with a positive reply in a question form, especially when one of the women shares a negative feeling that they experiencing. Each time I have gotten the opportunity in doing 5&5 group, I try to respond back to each person to really show that I am actively listen to them.
We found Alzheimer 's Services Of The East Bay (ASEB). A major goal of ASEB is to make life easier & more enjoyable for victims of Alzheimer’s, to give families hope, and to provide therapy whether it be a victim of Alzheimer’s or someone who is related to someone with Alzheimer’s. It definitely was not easy. After countless hours of building a power point and a script, my partner and I finally had a presentation we could present. After the presentation, my partner and I were relieved that it was finally done.
