Critiques of Democracy
From conceptualization to the modern day, democracy has greatly become the popular choice of government globally. With a spread of approximately three-fifths of the governments, democratic systems have received criticisms as well as accolades from both different discourses and theorists alike (Bruce Gilley). Critiques suggest that liberal democrats have provided panacea solutions to the world’s problems, contextualizing democracy while at the same time ignoring the initial purpose of these systems has been greatly debated upon. Even though criticizing a system that has the majority preference has been deemed skeptical rather than factual, these critiques have been found to either valid and constructive or invalid and destructive. In this paper, the critique of the inequality and Critique of Political instability will be discussed.
