All the cultures created by man have the same basic components such as language, belief, tradition, religion and so on. However, those common things are not enough to make people from different culture exist harmoniously together. Conflict, rivalry and chaos between cultures happen in every corner of the world. There might be loads of different factors that cause this cultural hostility and below are some common principle ones.
First of all, it is about the racism discrimination, the belief that one race is better than other races. All the races have their own unique cultures, which mean people of different races have different belief, different languages, different thinking and so on. When they come to live in the multinational society, or

Cambodians expect the young ones to show their respect to their elders regardless of any situation, which reflects that Cambodian values older people the most. To be specific, young people must appropriately address and talk in a favorable manner to their seniors with all due respect. However, in this contemporary society, this practice is not strictly enforced. For instance, the word “Nham”, translated as eat, is not expected to say to older people while other words such as “Pisar” or “TorToulTean” must be used to show the politeness. Another conflict example is the greeting gesture. Cambodia has its ways of greeting people by combining their hands together in front of their nose then bow otherwise judgment will be passed to the family. However, nowadays these gestures only happened between juniors and seniors, which is contradicting to the past in which also occurred between juniors. Another possible root cause of cultural conflict is globalization. Globalization is the exchange of ideas, technology or other aspects of culture. To nationalist or conservative groups, this way of interaction is not strongly supported, as it will ruin the local culture or viewpoints. As an illustration, personal affection in public is very common around the world such as holding hands or kissing. On the other hand, in Cambodia, such act is strongly criticized because the group believes that it may ruin the local culture. Last but not least, another main cause of conflict among groups within the society is the different between religions. Since people in different groups have different religion and do the same things in different ways within the deprivation of cultural relativism, they tend to judge other’s religion as inferior to their own. As an illustration, in Khmer funeral the corpses are
A Cultural Minefield by William Ecenbarger is an article about how common gestures and customs at home have different meanings in other parts of the world. Ecenbarger has been to six different continents and didn’t realize until years later, that he offended or embarrassed his host during that time. For example Ecenbarger in Australia got into a taxi and jumped into the back seat. The taxi driver spoke to him in voice that made Ecenbarger nervous. In the United States it is a custom that you jump into the back seat whenever asking for a cab.
In “Legal Aliens”, “A Indian fathers plea “and Everyday use how that it affects cultural diversity because as individuals we don’t give each other respect. In Pat Mora’s “Legal Alien”, she feels like she is cultural unwanted in her own country. ” You may speak Spanish but you’re not like me” (Mora 40). One’s eyes look at her like that and she could just see them say that.
Many societies did not like the idea of diversity. This is where the racist extremists came into play. Cultural diversity is something that will never go away. Whether people like it or not, they are going to experience it and have to live with it. The museums hate website wall showed us exactly how extreme people are willing to go.
Based on the actions of Miura and the girls of St. Lucy’s, we see that race can be a malleable concept; changed and shaped into whatever best fits in the situation. Each situation and location has a unique majority and superiority effect on the performance of other races. So if physically a person appears as one race, but acts or performances differently based on the effects of other races, are they trying to assimilate themselves into this other race, or are they creating a “hybrid” race of sorts with a mixture of the races involved? If there was just one universal race that everyone performed all the time, it would be very dangerous. Our race can affect our culture, traditions, and way of life.
Every human being belongs to a specific type of race or possibly multiple races depending on his/her background. As a population, society views their fellow citizens according to their certain race. For some, culture and traditions of their own race means everything to them and these people are proud of who they are and where they come from. However, for some races their background and pride carries burdens.

Which leads to a very large and huge financial gap between so many cultures just because they don’t want to get to know each other. Jim Crow although disbanded, and has been called inhumane has still lingered throughout today’s society. This is a shame because many people seem to think that they’re better than each other and has created job opportunities for people based
Solomons (2016) defined self-respect as an individual’s acceptance of self which forms the keystone on how he treats himself and allow others to treat him. With this, it seems that elderlies tend to have difficulty accepting the changes happening in later life. These changes can be reflected in their responses and predominantly focused in their susceptibility of having negative perception of their capabilities or qualities. It seems that they regard aging as a discontinuation process which denotes that they seem to describe their stage in life marked by diminish strength, health, ability and productivity. Some of their responses are: “Mahina na po ako, matanda na., Hindi ko na nagagawa ang dati kong ginagawa noon., Nabawasan na ang lakas ko., Nahihirapan na ako., and Hindi na ako aasenso hanggang dito na lang ako.”, which can be supported by the claim of Esteban (2015) who determined the idioms that Filipino elderlies use to describe and make sense of their experience of
Everyone has their own culture some different from others and some don 't really know their full culture. Some of us may not have similar things in common but we are all alike. In an Indian father 's plea, Legal alien, and Multiculturalism explained in one word. They show perfect examples on how culture influences the way people view others and the world around them. “Wind-wolf asks why other kids in school are not taught about the power, beauty and the essence of nature or have the opportunity to experience it for themselves.”
Even in a society that, overall, is diverse, people with similar ideas and experiences tend to congregate in small groups, where they are comfortable. It is much easier to remain in homogenous groups, among those who understand each other. When different groups combine, many different life experiences and points of view will be present and will potentially clash. Misunderstanding is bound to occur in some form when individuals of different backgrounds interact. When misunderstandings occur, people tend to respond with violence, fear, or stereotyping.
Culture is a huge part of people’s lives. They’re born into their race and the cultural history that comes with it. However, there’s always been a certain judgment that comes with the different cultures/races. For example, if someone were to ask, “What is Marcus doing tonight?” The other person may reply with, “Which Marcus?
