The person who state that custom is part of the culture is Aziz Deraman. Culture and cultural aspects also helps in organizing society life. The bond of culture with society cannot be broken easily. Culture incorporates mannerism; manners in thinking, interacting, perceiving, and attending to society. (Aziz Deraman, 1992) Definition of manner is the prevailing customs, ways of living, and habits of a people, class, period, ways of behaving with reference to polite standards or social comportment, way of speaking to and treating others. (Manner, 2017) Definition of interacting is an occasion when two or more people or things to communicate with or react to each other (Cambridge English Dictionary, 2017) For example, in the Malay culture, in general, most Malays are aware of Western ways do the handshake is normal. There may be differences type and a few things to bear in mind with is Malay women cannot shake hands with men. Women can shake hands with women or similar gender. Men also cannot shake hands with women or different gender and may bow instead while placing their hand on their heart. In addition, giving salaam to the Muslim ummah is also encouraged by Islamic religion. In one Hadith a man asked the Prophet about which aspect of Islam was best.
