WHAT IS TRADITION?

Its a belief passed down with a group with symbolic meaning with origins in the past. Examples like holidays or impractical but socially meaningful clothes like “lawyer wigs”, but the idea has also been applied to social norms such as greetings. Tradition was the name given to those cultural features which, in situations of change, were to be continued to be handed on, thought about, preserved and not lost. Tradition is the handing down of statement, beliefs,legends and customs from generation to generation, especially by practice. All the meaning of tradition is beliefs from the old generations tell today generation and its a behaviour that we learn them from the old grandparents. Tradition can evolve for thousands of years. The word tradition itself derives from the Latin tradere, which means to hand over or to give for safekeeping, the concept of tradition, as the notion of holding on to a previous time. Tradition is usually contrasted with the goal of modernity and should be differentiated from custom,rule and similar concepts. TRADITION WAS PASSED ORALLY WITHOUT WRITING SYSTEM.
