The Overall Awareness of Culture in Syria
Being culturally aware of other areas outside of which we live in can be very beneficial. It allows the person to gain the knowledge of what's happening around the world, what language do they primarily speak, what sports are they interested in, and what do they eat? The following paragraphs will go into detail about the overall awareness of the culture in Syria.
Culture is the customary beliefs, social forms, and material traits of a racial, religious, or social group. Five major characteristics that define culture are; Culture is Learned, Social, Shared, Transmitted, and Continuous.

It is nothing that an individual can passes but shared by common people of a territory. For example, customs, traditions, values, beliefs are all shared by man in a social situation. These beliefs and practices are adopted by all equally.
Culture is Transmitted: Culture is capable of transmitted from one generation to the next. Parent's papa's cultural traits to their children, and in return, they pass to their children and so on. It is not transmitted through genes but through language. Language is means to communication which passes cultural traits from one generation to another.
Culture is Continuous: It is continuous process. It is like a stream which is flowing from one generation to another through centuries.
People in Syria Share some common cultural characteristics with other countries such as planned weddings, routine visits with family and meals, holidays such as Ramadan, ʿĪd al-Aḍḥā, Christmas and Easter. It has a rugged mountainous terrain that borders the coastal plain the runs from North to South. There are mountains that mark the border of Syria and Lebanon, and there are smaller mountains scattered across the area. The rest of the Country that is occupied by plains is known as the Syrian Desert. It however is not a Desert full of sand, but with rocks and gravel steppe. Syria has an outdated infrastructure and transportation system. The main priority of transporting goods is from the use of the highway system, Syria has 104 airports which to include the military airports however, only 24 of these airports are paved. In 1998 Syria's annual electricity production was at 17.5 billion Kilowatt hours, in which fossil fuels generated 42.8 percent of it. The remaining 57.2 percent of it was produced from hydroelectric resources. Syria for lines of communication range from telephone hard lines, telephone cellular devices, broadcast media, and 31.9 percent of the population is equipped with the internet. The Syrian Civil War is entering its sixth year now and has killed approximately half a million Syrians. Due to the long-lasting effects of this Civil War, it has forced seven million people out of Syria including the several one-hundred thousand into Europe.
