My mission and interest in life is to bring joy to those who are less fortunate than myself by attending an annual mission trip through American Reformed Church. Currently, I have traveled to Tahlequah, OK and Myrtle Beach, SC and have had major takeaways from each one of those trips which have left a significant impact on my life as well as those that I have served. Looking at this story we see that identity is a big theme even relating to the author, there are also other reflections of Indigenous culture in this story like the 7 grandfather teachings and assimilation.
