O: I want to manage my needs and my family needs in positive ways. A: MHS will review with the member the monthly budget to prepare for the upcoming month. MHS will also reinforce the importance of the member prioritizing her needs and the needs of her family. MHS will discuss what steps the member has taken to prepare for the arrival of her unborn child. R: MHS expressed concerns with the member in regards to her current living situation. MHS began to counsel the member on the issues that she seems to be having with properly managing her finances. The member has paid rent in her apartment for the past two months but has yet to spend anytime there. MHS advised the member paying rent for an apartment that she has no intention on maintaining is a waste of …show more content…

MHS reinforced the meaning of priorities to the member and began to review the member’s monthly budget. MHS questioned the member on what preparations has she made for the arrival of her unborn child. “I haven’t gotten anything yet but I still have stuff from when my son was a little baby that I can use,” states the member. MHS explained to the member that although her son is only a year old she should really consider new things for her new baby. MHS assured the member that there is nothing wrong with her passing clothes down from one child to the next but needs to be aware of the situation in which she is putting herself in doing so. “What do you mean the situation that I am putting myself in, my new baby will be able to fit my sons old clothes he barely wear them anymore,” states the member. MHS explained to the member that if her one year old son, who the member has mention barely has clothes himself, is still wearing the clothes that she chooses to pass down to her newborn those clothes would need to be properly washed and not worn again until the
