I live in Daejeon. Thanks to the location of Daejeon, locating at the center of South Korea, my city has been developed based on technology and science industries. And there’s one of the biggest science industry valley named “Techno Valley”, which mimicked the silicone valley in US, right behind my apartment village. And because most of the parents in my village worked at those kinds of field, their desire towards children’s education has been very intense, so the overall atmosphere of my town wasn’t very amusing nor exciting. But there was one place that tolerated my peer’s over filling desire to amusement. The name of the park was “Daejeon Expo science park”. Since it was the only theme park near my village, six of my friends and I used to spend plenty of childhood days there. Fortunately, our parents were apparently exceptional from the intense enthusiasm for education, so we were able to avoid such tragic life, wandering around tons of academies, that the other peers were living. We thought it would be waste of both our time and energy if we go to the park during the noon, so I spend the time with my family during the daytime. At 7p.m, we met at the square in our apartment village. It had been 7 months since we met all together, but I was astonished how conversations began so naturally. It made me recall the quote that I read in 사제동행 reading class. “In life have a friend that is like a mirror and shadow; Mirror doesn’t lie and shadow never leaves”. They were the perfect shadows. As if we’ve been seeing constantly, we never felt awkward seeing each other’s face. Having conversation full of affection, we headed to the park, which took about 10~15minutes to go by a bus. As soon as we arrived, we had to walk again, since the entrance of the park was deep inside a forest. Eventually we reached the entrance, which looked like

When I made a lucky catch, I learned what carelessness could cost you. I was around seven years old at the time, and I played baseball for Lakeview Playground. Her eyes were a deep brown, several shades darker than her fur. Her ears were perked high, twitching at the crackling of branches in the distance. She maintained perfect eye contact with me. It was like looking in a mirror. Her face was narrow, long and brown.
The night was fraught of laughter and warm conversations that I could not believe took years to eventually come to. By the end of the night, my mouth was tired from smiling the entire time. All in all, I had a great a time. Mind you, I have not seen these friends in ages – literally ages. However, there’s a reason for that.
New Plans One Saturday morning, I woke up at seven in the morning to go to an amusement park called Six Flags. The plans had been made days ago, my two older sisters, my brother, a friend of ours and I would be going to Six Flags and spend the entire day there. As I got up after finally getting my alarm to finally shut up I walked over to the bathroom to take a shower when I realized that the ground was spinning, in my eyes at least, I had a vile taste in the back of my throat. I quickly fell back onto my bed feeling like if I hadn’t
