If I have to choose a favorite sport it would have to be football. Football is physical hard-hitting contact sport that is full of excitement rooting for my home team the New York Jets. Back in 1997 is where I developed a full interest; watching and playing football at a young age. I have played fullback and linebacker both positions took a lot of hard work, conditioning, and practice to execute my performance on the field.
Ever since I was a boy, seeing a ball in my foot was inevitable. Maybe it’s part of genetics, but the ball called my name from day one. Sleep, eat, and breathe football is what I do. There is something about this sport that is so magical that it is indescribable.
Ever since I could remember sports have ruled my life. When I was a young boy I played football and baseball. I loved playing both of these games tremendously. As I grew older I distanced myself away from football as I wanted to focus solely on baseball. Although I stopped playing football in the sixth grade, it taught me many things I will never forget.
Keep in mind I finished out high school football, but I stopped liking it years ago. I think that is because during football I have built friendships and connections that will last a lifetime. I remember the first time I played football. It was thanksgiving at my dad's house in Nebraska.
When we Cheered the entire team but everything we had into in. There were moments when we were tired and worked too hard, but there were never moments when we didn't have fun. There is never a moment when I don't miss the fun we all had riding the bus to away games, helping each other get ready, and or course cheering our hearts out.
Football had a major impact on my life, playing football helped me to communicate with others creating an brotherly bond with my fellow teammates. Playing this sport taught me a lot like size doesn't matter, it's all about hard work and dedication like it's your last time playing on the field. Football showed me how to be mentally and physically strong, to be a leader and lead by example. This sport became apart of my life being apart of the community and making my town happy, I love playing this sport and being with my teammates because even when there is time it's an easy day my teammates always push me to do my best so I can get better every time I'm on the field. Football helped me to care about others and to do what I have to help my
Football has been my favorite sport since I could run. Running free in the grass with friends and family made me appreciate the the quality of life I was blessed to have. Senior year of high school I went from league champions to below .500 records. Lake Winaukee was where the team would prep and practice for the upcoming season. As a senior, I felt I was obliged to help my team win football games and the place we could create chemistry was Lake Winaukee.
When I was 7 years old I went to my first high school game with my mom, the teams that played were Roosevelt and Flower. I will never forget that day Sept 8th at 8PM friday night lights. My older cousin Brett Pierce was the starting Cornerback for flowers, I admired him because he the starting Corner and he was ranked #23 in the Nation for his position. My cousin ended the game with 18 tackles, 4 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles that was one of the greatest days of my life. After the game was over I asked my mom could she sign me up to play football, she told me I wasn’t big enough.
I was in Flowood, Alabama in late June for my baseball State Championship game. I was with my friend on the baseball team, my mom and dad, my brothers, sister, and grandparents. It was like a 4 hour road trip. During the road trip we ate at chick-fil-a. Also, when we got to the hotel, we got situated and then went swimming and ate supper. During the tournament, our first game that we lost was stressful.
Philadelphia Eagles By:Cristian Cervantes Philadelphia Eagles are the coolest team in the world and that 's just a opinion. One historical event that has influenced my life is Super Bowl 42 (XLII). The New York Giants played the undefeated 18-0 New England Patriots for the Vince Lombardi Trophy and the NFL (National Football League) Championship. If New England won, they would have finished 19-0 and would become the only team in NFL history to win 19 games in a season and the second NFL team to go undefeated since the Super Bowl Era starting in 1966-67. The 1972 Miami Dolphins went 17-0 with a shorter season and are still the only undefeated team to win the super bowl in NFL history. There have been other teams to go undefeated, but the Dolphins are the only to do it in the Super Bowl Era. New England was under controversy for spying on opponents signals and plays using cameras and scouts known as Spygate. This at the time was going to be the biggest punishment in NFL history until 2014 when they cheated again deflating footballs below the allowed air pressure known as Deflategate. The Patriots played the Giants in week 17 of the 2007 regular season and won 38-35 during which Quarterback Tom Brady threw his
It was hard to believe I was headed to University of Michigan to watch the Wolverines play Akron in football. It was my first time going to the Big House. Our tickets came late, we had to print off four copies to get in . We got there so early we tailgated with some students. Then went to buffalo wild wings for drinks and to use the bathroom before we went in the stadium.
When I was 12 years old, I made it onto a cheerleading worlds team. Essentially, if my team got a bid, we would get to go to the Cheerleading Worlds competition at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Disney World. I am a part of the competitive cheer community along with 3.3 million other athletes in the U.S. alone. My teammates and I were ecstatic and could not wait for this moment to compete. Our team name was the Cheer Eclipse Comets.
For the love of the game, football is Americas most popular sport. If your child wants to play the sport then you should let him play. Don’t force your child to play a sport he or she doesn’t want to play. The game of football also teaches great team work and discipline.
