One of the inspiring examples are mompreneurs. Success of mom entrepreneurs is encouraging more and more women to enter into the corporate world.
Clearly that staying in school gives girls more choices and opportunities. These choices and opportunities would make these educated girls to become stronger and smarter. When girls could get these attributes successfully, they may even can take on leadership roles in their countries. For example, president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf who is leading the fight against Ebola in Liberia and put many efforts into women’s rights and empowerment is a very outstanding leader (How Empowering Women Can Help End Poverty in Africa). In leadership positions, women can help to develop policies that support women and girls, and continue to provide greater opportunities for jobs, education and health services for females(ibid).
Hillary Rodham Clinton delivered her speech “Women’s Rights are Human Rights” September 5, 1995 while speaking at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China with the intent to educate and spread awareness in regards to the rights and treatment of women around the world, while encouraging women to take initiative and highlight the potential women have if presented with the opportunity of equality. The goal was to raise $200,000 by the end of Carnival season. Melvin Amore, Zulu Social Aid, and Pleasure Club assistant financial secretary, donated time and money to schools and charities throughout its 99-year history (Maloney 1). Orpheus organization focuses on improving education and Zulu debutantes get college scholarships while members volunteer and serve as role models within the community. “Muses Community Involvement Committee, said her krewe donates a free ride to an honorary Muse and $5,000 to her charity of choice each year” (Maloney 1). Krewes are doing good in the community and actually care about Mardi Gras and the happiness it brings to everyone.

The San Bernardino County fair is a great way to spend summer vacation with rides, food and activities/attractions. Every year tons of people come to the fair whether it’s just to walk around, see many attractions, or view people’s entries. Many people submit items from quilts to jams, to cake and paintings. Others may enter their cows, goats, and chickens to be viewed by judges to see if there well enough to win best of show. I had the opportunity to go to the fair on Girl scout Day with my Girl scout troop and found that my troop leader Ruth Coe and a fellow member Esther Coe had won first place and second places on their jams along with a first for a mini quilt and first/second for home cakes.
The name of the organization I chose for Kingdom Fair was YWCA of Northern Orange County. YWCA (Young Women Christian Association) is dedicated to empowering women, girls and their families economically and socially. Their mission is to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. The YWCA accomplish their mission by empowering generations of women addressing their changing personal needs. They hope to equip many diverse individuals to achieve and maintain social, physical, financial, intellectual and spiritual well-being.
