We have invented and use a lot of technology to great effect in our lives. However, each piece of scientific advancement carries a hidden cost, quite often an environmental danger. This lesson explores some of these hidden dangers.

Look around you in the room you 're in. It 's full of technology: from technology that has built its walls, to the screen you are looking at, to the chair you sit on. All of that was born out of human scientific and technological innovation.

We know for a fact that this is, at the very minimum, a contributory factor to climate change, 'an inconsistent, yet progressively gradual increase in the temperature of the world 's atmosphere and oceans, and all of its related consequences, such as rising sea levels, crop failures, and health hazards '.
What that definition implies is that the temperature may rise one year and fall another, and so it doesn 't rise consistently year after year. It is during the temperature falls that climate change deniers claim: how could there be global warming if it 's this cold and snowing outside? The problem is that while some years may be colder than prior years, the overall trend is like a bullish stock market chart. It keeps rising in the grand scheme of things, despite a few dips here and there.
Again, we undeniably gain many things from our scientific advancement in the field of energy production from oil, coal, and natural gas. This includes heating our homes when it 's really cold outside, powering our TVs so we can share a laugh with friends, and many more. But while we enjoy our hobbies and activities, we shouldn 't forget the negative impacts they have on the current state and future of our planet. Introduction Long ago, since ancient time humans have been using energy and striving for the betterment of themselves, it all began with the use of tools which led to the discovery of fire, from this great breakthrough, humans evolved exponentially. Eons have passed and humans are still using fire to ease their daily lives from cooking, mobility and electricity, but due to the increase in advancement of technologies, it has also increased damages to the planet, thus the governments had started to move towards a producing or replacing the old harmful substance to a less harmful ones, but since one of the most used and one of the highest cause of ozone depletion is chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), it has been banned from production due to the Montreal Protocol 1991, one of the causes as to why it was banned is one of the chemicals it contain is chlorine, once a certain condition is met it depletes the ozone layer, ergo with earth shield compromised more harmful ultraviolet rays will get into the planet, thus only the reservoir of CFC are being used today, now it’s a race against time to replace this CFC with other materials that is less harmful and either as or more efficient than it. There are not a lot of ways to replace chlorofluorocarbon. Some of the most prominent ones are hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC), hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) and magneto caloric effect (MCE).
