“Ok, the first two guys are on opposite ends of the floor, I should be able to subdue them with no problem.” Ariana navigates her way through the floor, slowly creeping up on the soldier on the east
I kicked down the front door of the building, and we burst in with guns drawn as if we were expecting a confrontation. The building had three floors, so we had to search them all. As we swiftly finished searching the first and second floor with no sign of Tommy, we heard a noise on the third floor stairwell. My partners and I rushed up towards to noise in hopes of finding our suspect, and to our luck, we did. He barged through a thick steel door leading to the exit and slammed the door shut behind him, hoping to lock us out.

Tell us now!” Gever shouted angrily at the guard. “Uh... he’s down the hall, to your left.” Gever and the others then ran past him, but they didn’t see the pistol the guard pulled out of his uniform until it was too late. The guard pulled the trigger, instantly striking and killing

When Dante learns Demon Curse is as its name states – a curse – he’s determined to find who’s responsible and save himself. The other prisoners became so annoyed and frustrated with the woman that they “bound and gagged her.” When the screaming continued and the men hit and beat her, the “people shouted their approval: ‘Keep her quiet! Make that madwoman shut up. She’s not the only one here…’” (p. 26).
Divided into three major sections—Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso—the narrative traces the journey of Dante from darkness and error to the revelation of the divine light, culminating in the Beatific Vision of God. ("The Divine
The story revolves around metaphors where everything has a double meaning behind what is said. Here what Dante is trying to tell us is that he wakes up in hell because he has strayed from the righteous path that the church and God has set for him. This medieval writing continues throughout the layers of hell sinners are damned to hell and live in a world devoid of any sanitation everything around them is full of suffering and death. Above the gate is a message that tells the beginning of the journey into hell and the suffering that will be caused, “I AM THE WAY INTO THE DOLEFUL CITY, I AM THE WAY INTO ETERNAL GRIEF… ABANDON EVERY HOPE, ALL YOU WHO ENTER” (399, 1). The church brings out these punishments seeing as the medieval era he lived in was during the time that the church dominated a person’s way of living.
Granted, going through Hell is no walk in the park but within the first six cantos he has already passed out twice and has burst into tears too many times to count! Dante 's got heart. One of his best attributes is empathy but his guide Virgil helps toughen him up as they move along. In fact, Dante toughens up pretty quickly as he rages against Filippo , argues with Farinata , and rants at Pope Nicholas III. After each round of righteous indignation, Virgil claps Dante on the back and congratulates him for putting yet another sinner in his place.
In The Inferno, Dante is the hero of the story. Dante is the man exiled from his home as a result of his political struggles and beliefs with the choice between evil and good. Dante’s heroism is in the form of humanity as he faces the challenge which all human beings struggle with. Dante’s courage is tested as he journeys through the rings of hell. According to Dante, “therefore look carefully; you’ll see such things/as would deprive my speech of all belief” (Alighieri, Dante. 1854).
Essentially Dante was never settled after his exaltation and wandered endlessly. With his journey into the Inferno, Dante first awakens in a Dark Wood, at first sight he sees a light outlining a mountain in a distance and makes his way towards it. He is encountered by three beasts who stop his passage up the mountain. Before the monsters could have their way with Dante he is saved by the Roman poet Virgil who tells him to reach the mountain top he must first travel through Hell and Purgatory. Virgil was sent by Dante’s lover, Beatrice.
