A research method consists of four methods to gain data, which is questionnaire, interviews and observation. According to Bowling (2005) researcher need to consider the requirement of method of collecting data depends on the quality and accuracy. In this research study planned to use the questionnaire, focus group and interview method to gain in-depth information on the researcher topic “Reading and language development through play for Early years ESL Students”. Evaluating the Data - This is an important step to evaluate the collected data which will help in decision making process. Several research and mathematics tools are used to evaluate the data. It starts with editing and coding the data. The interpretation of the data that has been collected is used by different analytical techniques according to the requirement of the management is called analysis. This may range from simple frequency tables to complex multivariate analysis.
But, a little more detail about the participants’ backgrounds would have added on as a reliable factor. Despite that, they specify why there may be a difference and how it would have been difficult for them to access such information without the use of email; conforming to specification of task. On the whole, the article managed to explain the purpose of the study and showed the results that were achieved and clarified. The topic of study is one that is relatable to people of all ages and keeps the reader engaged. The data is very well presented and clear to
• Data science will investigate and inspect data to deduce factual, quantitative and statistical inference. This is opposed to statistics which focuses on analysis using standard techniques involving mathematical formulas and methods. • A data scientist must have skill sets to analyze and simplify problems using complex datasets to figure out information, whereas a statistician will use the techniques of numeric and quantitative
Data analysis is a process or a method of obtaining raw data and converting it into information that can be used for further analysis or can be used to make decisions. Data analysis has wide applications in almost every field. It is used to make complicated and uncertain decisions in several industries. Basically, data analysis is used to make some sense out of huge volumes of data (in lakhs or crores). Had data analysis not existed or not known to man, all the data available in any form would have to be considered useless The process of data analysis is as follows: • Raw data is collected: Data is collected from various sources depending upon the requirements set out and the necessary conditions or criteria.
It is to be translated into meaningful information and must be managed and analyzed in an appropriate fashion. Therefore, data which will be gathered in this study will be refined, categorized, encoded, edited and analyzed by using observations made. Descriptive statistics or measurements like measure of central tendencies such as mean, mode, median and quartile and measure of dispersion variability like range, standard deviation, variance and inter-quartile range using tables, graphs, charts etc. will constitute the part of analysis accordingly. Parametric and non-parametric tests may also be used.
It provides an understanding of the problem, help to develop ideas for supporting quantitative research (Snapsurveys, 2016). I believe that qualitative research brings opinions or hypotheses and goes deeper into the issues or problems. There are many techniques used to collect the data like focus groups, conducting interviews and observations. I think the sample size here is small and the sampling is selected to fulfill the subject of study. For example, my friend is studying the role of heritage in attracting foreigners to Oman.
It refers to the firsthand data that was collected by researcher for the study. In addition, the data is needed to designate the problem of research. In this study, the questionnaire is used as the source of primary data. The questionnaires is consists of 30 questions that is related to the study. b) Secondary Data Secondary data is information gathered from previous study or researchers as references.
The purpose of primary data researching is to enhance the comprehension and execute a direct assessment of the research by acquiring first hand information (Bush, 2006). In this research, the primary data used to gather information is questionnaire survey. A questionnaire or also known as self-administered survey is distributed to certain targeted segments of people to gather desired data. The reason of using survey questionnaire (quantitative research) is to assure the absoluteness and consistency of data gathered. Besides that, it is the only feasible way to reach a large number of interviewee, and the results from the survey questionnaire will be used as input for statistical analysis.
Data Science – As we have already seen in the definition, data science is an intersection of multi-disciplinary activity. The major focus or purpose of data science is to extract meaningful, valuable and actionable insights from raw data using different analytical and computational techniques. The end goal still remains in efficient decision making and domain specific value addition, cost saving, increase in revenues etc. They accomplish this by using statistical methods, computational algorithms which may or not involve Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence, which is imbibed with the domain or business expertise for extracting the best possible business outcome from the data. In short, the end product of data science is a data product.
