Imagen if you got to go in a big building with nothing but video games. Dave and Busters. There was one day until my Birth Day. I wanted to go to the best place in the world Dave and Busters. So I asked my dad. He said I perhaps so. I was so excited I felt like going outside and yelling I get to go to Dave and Busters. I called all of my family members some of them said that they could go but not all of them. Then I went to bed. After a short manner of time I was up and ready and out the door we were. As we got in the big red truck my dad said you ready and I said ‘YES’. There we are on the road.
As we entered Omaha
Today I tried the Dollar Tree hot chips (I did not buy them) and they were disgusting, so most definitely there are some items that I much rather prefer to be name-brand than store-brand. I have always tried to give certain store-brand items a chance and save a few dollars. Some make the cut and some literally get cut and go into the trash. One example I will forever remember was when I tried the canned mixed veggies once compared to Del Monte’s; the quality difference was noticeable the instant I opened it and the taste EWWWW, I’ll never give that item another chance. There are some names brand I have 100% brand loyalty to; I blame my mother she never let us try anything different, has to be Best Food 's Mayo, If this woman shows up to my
Alabama Trip My mom and and dad told me in December that we were going to Gulf Shores, Alabama to visit my grandparents. Gulf Shores is the southernmost town in Alabama, located on the north coast of the Gulf of Mexico. I have been there twice when I was little. I remember that I collected seashells and went swimming with Boppa in the pool.
As I look at this picture, it makes me think about the time I took responsibility for my little cousins. This picture was taken the day I took cousins to Chuck E Cheeses for the first time. My family lives in Oregon, but my extended family lives in California, all around the Bay Area that’s where my family is from there too. While I like Oregon, I try to find any excuse to visit California. So two years ago during spring break, my sister and I decided to go to California.
Hi Angel & Dave, "That 's not my job" is a common quote for those that do just the minimal at work. When I orient new employees, I always share with them their duties but I also inform them that they should become familiar with other employee 's job duties because it may give them an opportunity for growth. I share my personnel experience that I was an entry level employee that was promoted due to doing beyond my duties and they may be given that opportunity too if they want to grow within the organization. Angel, You may have not experience the BQS, but with your disclosure of being the first to share that your a guy that happens to be Hispanic and gay, you are a
My Senior year was supposed to be a a time to remember but it was not. I got into my first accident. My friend and I wanted to go eat after school. We all meet up in the parking lot. We decided to go to Chick fil a. Chick-fil-A was a long way from our school so we car pooled.
The more I drove the more hope I found and in that hope seemed to be strength. After several more stops for food, bathroom breaks, gas and taking care of animal needs we finally reached our destination of the big city of Virginia Beach. Pulling into the driveway I was surprised by new friends waiting to help us unload the U-Haul. Unloading our belongings did not seem as difficult for me emotionally as loading them did.
“Are you guys ready to go?” my dad says as we rush out the door. It’s our last day out and we are ready to make the best of it. “We’re right behind you dad,” I say as we walk to the cars.
It was the middle of august and a group of friends were all at the park together hanging out. All of the sudden Megan shouts “I’m hungry and my stomach 's growling”. All of the girls agreed with her and they decided they should walk somewhere to eat. “where should we go?” Kelsey asked.
New Plans One Saturday morning, I woke up at seven in the morning to go to an amusement park called Six Flags. The plans had been made days ago, my two older sisters, my brother, a friend of ours and I would be going to Six Flags and spend the entire day there. As I got up after finally getting my alarm to finally shut up I walked over to the bathroom to take a shower when I realized that the ground was spinning, in my eyes at least, I had a vile taste in the back of my throat. I quickly fell back onto my bed feeling like if I hadn’t
On September 11, 2001 it was early morning and I was sick so my dad had me go to work with him because my mom couldn’t watch me. Something terrible happened this day though. People were going to work to the trade center where my dad worked. My dad had arrived a little late to his meeting, we had both thought the was our biggest problem of the day.
It was my first time ever visiting Disneyland. While we were waiting for the ferry my stomach felt like it was was upside down. I felt sick. I had never had a feeling like this. It was the most exciting moment of my entire life.
My daddy called me to him. Said he had been thinking about me and it grieved him to see me in the world carrying other people’s songs and not having one of my own. Told me he was gonna show me how to find my song. Then he carried me further into this big place until we came to this ocean.
The memoir Chili Cheese Dogs, My Father and Me by Pat Conroy fits the genre because in the story Pat presents memories, focuses on an object and person that has a particular significance to his life, and shows feelings about the person and the object. Most importantly it is reflective since at the end Pat gained a new insight about how his father really felt about him. One memory presented was of his mother taking him and his siblings after church to The Varsity, a chili cheese dog restaurant in Atlanta and how his father said once you taste the one from Superdawg in Chicago you will forget the one from The Varsity since it was so good. This didn’t change Pat’s view of The Varsity having the best chili cheese dog but, he still knew it was his
My Trip to Florida It was a cold winter night in Upstate New York. My mom and dad were enjoying a cup of coffee, my sisters were playing video games, and I was editing a few pictures on my computer. My mom brought up the idea of a vacation. She said” We haven’t been on a vacation for a long time”.
" That was the longest long ride for my parents, brother, and my brother's friend. We arrived and the first thing I remember doing was getting a rock and throwing it in the river. My brother and his friend
