Moskowitz did not have long or dark hair so it was unlike any other victims Berkowitz has attacked. Several witnesses were able to give information on the suspect, one person said it looked like he had a wig on which would explain the different descriptions from past witnesses. Many people saw a man driving a yellow car which matched the Son of Sam's description. This car had no headlights and was seen speeding away from the crime scene. With the information on the car, the police decided to investigate the owners of the yellow cars, David Berkowitz being one of them. The investigators made him a witness rather than a …show more content…

While in prison Berkowitz survived one attempt on his life by his inmate. His early behavior in prison earned him a new nickname David Berserkowitz. He also claimed he was a Satanist at the time of the murders and said he was part of a cult that motivated him to commit the crimes he did. There was another attempt on his life in 1979 and he refused to tell anyone who the attacker was and said they must have been a part of the cult he used to attend. Berkowitz also stated he did not work alone on these murders. He claimed he was part of an occult group that sacrificed animals to satan.
Berkowitz also said that he was not the Son the Sa killer but he was a lookout man. He says that John “Wheaties” Carr was one of the shooters, as well as his brother Micheal who he claims, was the shooter in the Queens disco shooting. John Carr lived behind Berkowitz and owned the dog that Berkowitz says was possessed by a high
Desma Hamilton Mr. Swartzendruber American History 21 August 2015 We’ve heard many stories about police shooting people… and this is another one of those cases. In St. Louis this week, Mansur Ball-Bey, an 18 year old, was shot in the back after getting into a disagreement with local officers. It’s said that officers were carrying out a search warrant in the north part of the city when two men ran out the back of a house. According to Dotson, the chief of police, Ball-Bey had turned and pointed at a gun, therefore causing the officers to fire.
Medical doctor Jeffrey R. MacDonald, labeled by the press in the 1980's as the "Green Beret Killer," has already spent 27 years in federal penitentiaries for murders he did not commit. To quote Harvard legal scholar Alan Dershowitz, "Jeffrey MacDonald is the most victimized person in the history of United States jurisprudence." The grisly, ritualistic-style murders of which he was convicted took place in Dr. MacDonald's home located in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, onFebruary 17, 1970, between 2 and 3 am in the morning.
He performed to expectations at the beginning of his education and even had a solid IQ of 118 but as time went, his grades slipped and he passed high school by the skin of his teeth as he lost attachment to school. A substantial contributing factor to his poor performance in school was the fact that he missed a tremendous amount of school as he manipulated Pearl in to letting him stay home because of illness. His constant illnesses weren’t actually illnesses at all as he would just warm up his head against the radiator. Berkowitz also had a distaste for authority, especially at school, so he would vandalize the school and perform arson as a way to get his anger out. Berkowitz was also picked on because of his following of Jewish religion and his looks, but he also bullied other children, coming off as aggressive and

After hours of drinking, listening to music and talking, young Hicks was ready to move on and continue his journey. Jeffrey however, didn’t want Hicks to leave, so he hit him with a 10 pound dumbbell twice in the back of the head.
From 1976 to 1977, the streets of New York City were engulfed in fear that was a result of a single serial killer attacking random, innocent victims. David Berkowitz, commonly known as ‘The Son Of Sam’ was responsible for the deaths of 6 people and leaving several other injured as a result of his ruthless attacks. David catapulted New York City into a panic when he began targeting college students and couples at random using his infamous .44 caliber handgun. He had made claims that his neighbor had been telling him to kill and that he received these messages through his neighbor Sam Carr’s dog. He had believed that he was merely a messenger, and that it was his job to carry out the killings as he was instructed to do by Carr’s dog.
It was not until 1977 that police connected the dots to these shootings. Even though, he used the same .44 caliber for all the shootings (BE 7) (Tuesdell). He was called the “.44-caliber killer;” then later, he received the moniker “Son of Sam,” (“David Berkowitz”). Another way the police connected the shootings was that the female victims usually had long dark hair and were out at night (Tuesdell). Berkowitz shot at another couple in a parked vehicle, Christine Freund and her fiance; Freund died from her injuries.
Known for killing women, he necessarily came for women that had long brown hair and that were caucasian. But, these killings all had to root from somewhere. At a very young age, Berkowitz was put up for adoption by his unmarried parents, making him abandoned by his biological parents. David Berkowitz was born Richard David Falco on June 1, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York. His unmarried parents separated shortly before he was born, and he was put up for adoption.

The first murder involved a 17-year-old male and his 16-year-old girlfriend who were shot dead near their car at a secluded location on Lake Herman port. The police could not establish the motive of these initial killings or a suspect to the murders. The second incident involved the shootings of a woman aged 22 and her boyfriend who was aged 19 who were sitting in a car that was parked in a remote location similar to the first incident. A man with a flashlight who fired several shots at them attacked the two killing the man and seriously wounding the woman. After the shooting, a man called the police, gave the location of the crime, and claimed responsibility for the attack and the previous attack.
Edward Spreitzer Edward Spreitzer was born on January 5, 1961 in Chicago Illinois and is a known serial killer. Throughout his whole life, Spreitzer did not get along with his stepfather and was often bullied as a child. Around 18 years old, Spreitzer was asked to leave home when he was involved in a horrific car accident. After leaving, Spreitzer eventually met Robin Gecht, where he joined his satanic cult. Due to Spreitzers’ low IQ of 76, many people believe this was a factor in why he was so easily manipulated.
