On December 24, 2002, Laci Peterson was reported missing from her home in Modesto, California by her parents and husband. The Modesto police began their search for Laci Peterson before the standard forty-eight hour limit to file a missing person’s report because she was eight months pregnant.
Solomon Radasky was born in Warsaw, Poland, on May 17, 1910. He worked in the Praga district of Warsaw with the family business of making fur coats. He had 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and a mother and father who lived in the same area as Solomon. He remembers that whenever a Jewish holiday came in his town, the stores closed for the day and everyone celebrated the Jewish holiday. In his early 30’s, the Nazis began to force many Jewish families, along with the Radasky family, into the newly established ghettos.

Chris McCandless was ultimately a modern day transcendentalist because he believed that nature was purer than society, a common transcendentalist belief.
Kehinde Wiley is an American artist, known for his paintings whose subjects are usually African-American men portrayed in heroic poses. Wiley was born in 1977 in Los Angeles, California. He began to train in art schools at a young age with the encouragement and support of his mother. In 1999, he received his BFA from the San Francisco Institute of Art, and by 2001, Kehinde had received his MFA from Yale University. After his major schooling, Kehinde moved to Harlem to work at the Studio Museum. He has been the subject of numerous exhibition, and has received such awards as the Pratt Legend Award and the USA Network Character Approval Award. He continues to reside and work in New York.
Eric LeGrand is a former American football defensive tackle who played college football at Rutgers. He was born on September 4, 1990, Avenel, Woodbridge, NJ. He has twenty-five years of age and is paralyzed from the neck down due to an injury that occurred in football. This injury occurred in October of 2010 while attempting a tackle on the football field when he was twenty years old. I believe that his family, peers and coach would describe him as a strong and courageous person with determination that he will get back to his past self and continue to strive for his goals.
Jochem Schoonmaker was a member of a family who came from Germany and Holland and settled in the colony of New York in the early 1600’s. He married Lydia Rosencrans in 1730 and together they had fifteen children. He was a farmer and his descendants continue farming his land to this day in the hamlet of Accord in Rochester. An early 18th century farmstead bearing his name is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
On October 16th 2015, Dave Roever came to Margaretta High school. He told us about what had happened when he was in war and all of his other experiences in his life. He also told us about how we are his favorite school to come to because we gave him our football the night of the homecoming game, where we only lost by one point. He also wants us to know that everybody is loved by someone and we should always know that. He also told us that we should always treat everybody with respect because we never really know what they have been through or what they are currently going through.
The Battle of Kokoda was to a large extent a disaster for the Japanese army fighting in the war. The whole Invasion failed and caused major devastation to Japan and the Japanese soldiers fighting for expansion and supplies. After being through starvation, fatigue and so much devastation, the Kokoda was a true disaster for Japan.

His parents been together for 17 years and, they actually attended the same high school John F Kennedy. Steven was very spoiled by his father he will always get what he wants when it comes to sneakers and clothes. Most of his family from his mother side lives in Dominican Republic. His family from his father side lives in Brooklyn Sunset. Steven attended Truman High school. He was a sophomore at that school. He only lasted at Truman four months of his sophomore year.
David Berkowitz, also known as Son of Sam and the “.44 Caliber Killer”, is an American serial killer who, in New York City, murdered six people and injured seven. The Son of Sam killings –as his murder spree incident was called- began on July 29, 1976 with Donna Lauria and Jody Valenti who were both sitting in their car when a man peered into their window and fired multiple times at them. Jody survived the rainfall of bullets but her partner was not so lucky. Couple of months later, the police noted that this could be the work of a serial killer.
CNN nominee Daniel Ivankovich is a man who is willing to step out and help his community by reaching out to those in need. Daniel is an orthopedic surgeon who wants to “heal Chicago’s mean streets one patient at a time”. Dr. Ivankovich’s main focus is to help the community in a different way than just helping the one’s who need medical care as he has witnessed terrible things in his community for 20 years. Dr. Ivankovich says it is not only the crime rates that make the living issues tough, but also the medical side of things.
