I have contributed to the following extra- curricular projects: three years of SWAT, four years of Raider Riot, three years of varsity Cross Country, four years of varsity Weightlifting, and four years of varsity Softball. When I started high school, the club that excited me the most, was National Honors Society. So, at the first chance I got, in my sophomore year. After being a member for a year, I quickly realized that I wanted to take on a leadership opportunity in the club. So, I took a shot for the stars, and campaigned for being president of Honors Society. Though I had some competition, I put my all into composing a speech, and I won the presidency, and I have been president since.
I am looking for more than just academics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During my four years at Northwood High School, I became involved in numerous academic and extracurricular activities. As a result, I have been recognized and honored for achievements both inside and outside of school. I realize that titles and academic achievements are limited, but some of the impact I have on my community and other people’s lives is what really matters. Therefore, I plan to continue my active involvement in extracurricular activities while I am a college student.
It is already known that I am a diligent and successful student, like all of the other nominees for the National Honor Society. What makes me different and unique from the other nominees is my my sense of commitment. At Xavier, I take part in multiple extracurricular activities including clubs and sports. Thanks to the addition of the community period, I have been able to join almost ten different clubs. A couple of these clubs, such as the Surfing, Engineering, and Student Leadership Council, were originally founded within the past two years.
If someone told me that I would be a dance major and study at The College at Brockport during my sophomore year of high school, I probably would have thought them to be crazy. Dancing was never meant to be in the picture and it was something that I stumble upon towards my final weeks as a sophomore. I had a choice to between tennis or taking a dance class to fulfill my P.E. requirements. I eventually chose dance and it create a new path for me. Unfortunately, I decided that I want to go into communication during my freshman year at El Paso Community College.
National Junior Honors Society As an individual i have a lot of good qualities, like being a leader and helping people when they need it or standing up for what i know is right. I have a lot of good qualities and I think that my good qualities should be spread throughout my school and community. I am fond of being a leader. I do Cheer and Volleyball because I like to lead my team and show them how being confident in what you’re doing can make you strive for greatness.

The Dance Education Laboratory interests me because we have nothing like it here in Texas. I Recently I got to attend NDEO’s convention that was in Texas, and on my first day I felt like I was at Disney world. As silly as it sounds, I was so excited to shop around and learn from other dance educators. I left feeling so full and inspired, and I realized that my hope and dream for dance education in Texas was to be like what I experienced at NDEO. I want dance education in Texas public schools to be as holistic and comprehensive.
I have danced ballet since the age of three, but it was at thirteen that I experienced a moment not unlike a scene in a romance novel in which the characters are thunderstruck by the realization they are in love. Suddenly I realized that I wanted to dance more, and I wanted to dance forever, and I wanted to give ballet everything. I consider myself lucky amongst my peers: not many kids are afforded the opportunity to really and voluntarily sacrifice for the love of something as arbitrary as art. But ballet demands sacrifice, and I wouldn 't be me without it. When my father 's kidneys failed, I danced.
That is why I love beam because I am amazing at it. Then it wa off to the floor the hardest event because it puts so much pressure on your body and mental pressure. We were warming up and everyone was doing great for their tumbling passes, turns, and dancing. Everyone on my team was before me which means I was the last one on my team to go which gives me more pressure to do great since I got to watch every routine over and over. I loved floor because it is
For the last 10 years, I have been a professional ballet dancer at American Ballet Theatre. This career path has enabled me to travel the world, dancing in some of the most magnificent opera houses, accompanied with to some of the most accomplished musicians. Ballet was my first love and childhood dream and to see it through has been the most fulfilling and exciting journey. Being a ballet dancer is not a long career, so seizing the opportunity whilst I was young, meant I put my education on hold while I perused my passion. When the pandemic shut the world down, with stages and theaters closed, my life’s work felt meaningless.
I am also involved in multiple extracurricular activities such as, track and field, varsity cheerleading, student government, and lastly thespians; and held leadership roles as SGA vice President and co captain. Notably, The academic program that I wish to peruse is physical therapy.
After I opened up to my teacher and she told me all of the amazing fundraising opportunities, it was decided; I was going to try out for the competition team. I was never the best dancer, but I was still pretty good at the branches of dance that I did. I was ecstatic when I found out I made the team; it was like the world stopped spinning for a minute. That was
