Decision-making is the process by which a choice between options or ways to solve different life situations in different contexts is performed: in a familiar, sentimental or business level (using quantitative methodologies). Decision-making is basically choosing an option from those available for the purpose of solving a potential or current problem.
In organizations in general and companies in particular often a hierarchy exists, which determines the type of actions taken within it and, consequently, the type of decisions to be taken, administrative science divides the company into three hierarchical levels:
Strategic level: Top direction, global planning of the entire company.
Tactical level: Planning of company’s subsystems.

With the reorganization of the automotive operations into four business units, Toyota being so innovative and with an avid management structure is able to make the leaders of each unit adopt a self-sustaining approach, to facilitate the decision-making. One of the main self-sustaining operations that were performed on 2014 was improving the cars using individual platform basis. In the USA they are unifying and relocating the manufacturing, sales and marketing, corporate, and financial services headquarters to provide a better service and also make better cars.
