In this paper my objective is to analyze a document extracting information about a society. I will discuss the declaration of independence. Within my discussion, I will talk about who wrote it, when it was created, etc. Also others who help establish and draft the declaration of independence. The topic of this paper is the Declaration of Independence which plays a part of my objective. This special year played a major role in history which affected throughout all of America, this year was 1776. Jefferson was a very smart person, at the age of sixteen he enrolled into college. The school he attended was William & Mary College, “where he was taught physics, metaphysics, moral philosophy, and mathematics”. Learning philosophy, mathematics, and physics it is well believed that Jefferson was well educated. Some say there are many audiences to the Declaration of Independence. The most common audience they say was the colonies. But the most common audience is the King of Britain, why the King of Britain? Well because the document was written to announce and clarify their separation. The story line of the document is to clarify its separation from Great Britain. As for what is going on in the document, it is simply the clarifications and reasons of why they are separating. This document changed history, which affected us today. Things were ridiculous before The Declaration of Independence; they had to deal with early battles of The Revolutionary War also King George III objected to the colonies and desired an increase of the Army and Navy. The society was horrible; they mostly had to rely on Britain if they wanted imported goods or supplies it was like the society wasn’t the same. In the document there is a list of numerous facts that has been acted and all in an intolerable way. They didn’t want to be controlled by Britain’s government any longer.
