Deepika Padukone Biography Early Life. Deepika was born in Copenhagen Denmark on the 5th of January 1986 and her parents are Ujjida Padukone and Prakash Padukone. Her father Prakash was a badminton player of international standard but they moved back to Bangalore when Deepika was 1 year old. She has a younger sister Anisha who is a golfer. Deepika played Badminton like her father and played up to national level. In her early years at school she focused on Bloomington and in her own words her day revolved around her Bloomington practice and it would consist of her waking up going for physical training and then off to school. She studied blind people to see how they behave and act and rehearsed blindfolded to be able to get the feeling what it would be like.
