How was your Christmas Break? I bet mine was better. If you’ve ever had our homemade slush you 'd understand. The highlights of my break were my dad and I making our slush like we do every year, I got to see and explore things I’ve never seen beyond my property, and I got to perform on stage at my Grandpa’s barn. I went hunting for quail with a 16 guage, and also looked for some rabbits and squirrel.
Their ritual, sharing a Thanksgiving meal, marked the beginning of this holiday. Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, spend time and share a meal with family, and celebrate blessings. There numerous traditional festivals in Christianity, however, I envisage Easter and Christmas to be the grandest and memorable traditional festivals. Back in my home church where I was involved in the youth ministry, people would prepare in weeks in advance to decorate the church, make baskets full of presents with Easter-related items, and set up various activities for the kids. Activities were an entertaining way for kids to learn about Christianity and Easter. I cannot speak much for my church 's adult congregation, however, the youth ministry focused on the concept of 'giving back to community ' on Christmas. We would receive donations of food and necessities to give back to the those in need.
Thanksgiving Personal Narrative Some people attend parties, feasts, or even carnivals for Thanksgiving. On the other hand, I am kind of different. I love to spend time with my family making arts and crafts. My mom usually makes a feast at home and cooks my favorite Indian dishes. My parents, my sister and I find some type of entertainment to get our family to spend time together.

My special thanksgiving memory is when we went to my aunt Betty’s house. When we got to her house I went in and told everyone hi, and I relaxed in the living room with everyone. I went outside to play with my cousins and some friends for an hour or so. After that we went upstairs and watched TV until it was time to eat. As we were getting the table ready my aunt helped with the food, when we were done everyone came to eat.
