Leadership is an action defined as leading a group or organization . There are many great leaders today and many great leaders who legacy will always live on. Such as , Martin Luther King Jr. , Caesar Chavez, Mother Teresa, Bill Gates, Rosa Parks, Abraham Lincoln, Ghandi, General Colin Powell, Angela Merkel and many more . Each of these leaders had their own style and accomplishments to make them the leaders they are today .

A leader is an individual who is voluntarily followed by others. In order to be a successful leader you will need to have a clear sense of direction, also the ability to negotiate, communicate and influence others. B. Tracy, (2008). I strongly agree with being a leader. I believe i have good leadership skills for example listening which i think is one of the most important skills. As i am a reflector listening comes natural to me. According to B. Tracy, (2008) he says that “leaders are made not born”. I think i will need to improve on my leadership skills so i can be a successful leader, starting with my confidence.A leader needs to be confident in order to influence others.

A leader is someone that is in charge of a group,organization,country, etc. A leader is also someone that perfects all the views of leadership, this is important because when a leader is facing a situation he or she will know how to handle it. Everyone has leadership qualities but it's how you use these qualities and traits that make you a good or bad leader. For instance, Oprah is viewed as a good leader because although she went through a lot of issues in her life she was able to use those trials as a way to inspire others. A bad leader is Rafael trujillo, Trujillo was the dictator of Dominican Republic and although he was determined and worked his way up to the top he used fear to stay in control.

I have looked up to Demi Lovato since her early days on Disney Channel. She was the lead in a number of Disney shows and movies that I grew up watching. She had a relatable personality which is why I idolized her when I was younger. Although I think she is a talented actress, I prefer her music to her movies/shows. I prefer her singing to her acting because it is edgier and more mature than the obvious Disney pop star style. I enjoy her music primarily because of her strong, powerful voice. I idolize the lyrics because of how relatable they are. She always sends a clear message

Her acting career started at age 7 when she was cast in a Nestlé’s candy commercial, and then she went on to star in the Nickelodeon show All That. After becoming known for her high-energy characters on All That, she was given her own skit based comedy show called The Amanda Show. Her show ran for three seasons and earned her three Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards.

Adele, born on May 5th, 1988 in Tottenham, London, England, is a singer and songwriter. She became a mainstream success at age 19. Although she went through some very dark times in her life, such as her disastrous relationships, with both her boyfriends and father, and alcohol abuse. Overall, she was able to recover from her bad habits and become the iconic singer that we all dearly admire.

She encourages younger generations through social media platforms and her music to not label Mental Health as a stigma. She uses her own personal experience with a mental illness to empower others to not feel ashamed, to educate others and to influence and motivate others to not make the same mistakes as she did as a teenager.Demi Lovato did not view her diagnosis of being bipolar as a setback, and instead is using it to educate the world on the seriousness of Mental Health, that makes her an inspiration and role model to the youths of today. The fact that Demi Lovato had to go through all this whilst in the spotlight proves just how strong of a person she is, and further implores and encourages others to be strong through their adversities.
