The child was seen with several bruises on his face (three circles). He also has several marks on his back. The nurse took measurements; the marks about 3-4 inches long. DeMontaviouz states that his mother whipped him too hard with a hard belt. He complained of his face hurting and the nurse gave his a first aid kit and an ice pack. The allegations occurred because DeMontaviouz's behavioral color changed at school because of his behavior, and because he was kicked out of the after school program on 10-27-15, because of his behavior. The incident hasn’t happened before that the reporter knows of. Shaliah contacted the school the morning of 10-27-15, to ask the reporter what DeMontaviouz told her. Shaliah stated she tried to get him in Hinds
May it Please the Court, This is a case concerning Suzie, a seventeen-year old student at Central High School in Bristol, Virginia, as well as her boyfriend Cyrus. Suzie sent Cyrus some revealing photos which Cyrus forwarded to some upper class boys in school. Their principal, Mrs. Sheevers, confronted Cyrus but Cyrus denied what he had done. The principal then told the school’s security officer to frisk Cyrus for his phone.
These are classic signs of internal trauma. His physician, Dr. Abbie Leigh Smith, ordered enemas, which masked the child’s symptoms of internal trauma, prescribed
(Explain with evidence). A particularly horrific incident occurred where a group of boys kicked Nabozny so hard he had to have surgery. They told Nabozny not to tell anyone about what they did or they would kill him. (Clincher) The threat prevented Nabozny from seeking help at first but the second time he ran away he was convinced by a social worker to hold the school accountable for all that had happened to him.
Her accusations were supported by her parents, as they gave names of people she should accuse. She joined the girls and put on an act that the court believed. In court, she would yell and pretend to be getting attacked.
In the book A Child Called “it”, by Dave Pelzer, Catherine, Dave’s mother starves Dave as punishment. After the incident with burning David on top of a stove, Catherine resorted to other forms of abusive punishments like hitting him and starving him. I predict that Catherine will continue to abuse Dave until someone in his school recognizes his injuries. Throughout the book, Catherine has done so many abusive things to Dave with the proof of scars, marks, bruises and etcetera.
As we mentioned earlier, the freshman’s mother mentioned to coach McElroy the fact that the upperclassman was calling her son those insulting names. This incident could have been foreseeable by the coaches, and possibly the administration, if the coach reported anything to the principal and athletic director. The Mepham High School football season was eventually cancelled and the three upperclassman were charged with “involuntary deviate sexual intercourse,” “aggravated assault,” “kidnapping,” “unlawful restraint,” “false imprisonment,” “terroristic threats,” “criminal coercion,” “simple assault,” “reckless endangering of another person,” “ethnic intimidation,” and “criminal conspiracy.” Judge Robert J. Conway chose to try the accused as juveniles.
According to Sperry & Sperry (2012), Cognitive –Behavioral case conceptualizations include a clinical, cultural, and treatment formulation that emphasize signature elements such as predisposition (maladaptive cognitions/behaviors), treatment goals, treatment focus, treatment strategy and treatment interventions. In efforts to demonstrate an example of a Cognitive – Behavioral case conceptualization statement, Client A is presented. Client A is a 9 year old female Caucasian, 4th grader.
Linda Sterling, her husband Ron, and their son Travis Sterling were accused of sexually abusing children at the Preschool. One day a little girl came home from daycare and her mother found redness and broken skin on her bottom, so she asked her about it and she replied “a stranger had been poking me with a pink rope, lives at Linda’s” (Pasiuk “Satanic Panic”). From there Martensville police was called and an investigation was opened up to investigate the incident and to take up statements. Soon after the Sterling’s were accused of ritual abuse, another teacher, Ray Buckey was accused of performing ritual abuse on his students in the underground tunnels of cemeteries near his Preschool.
Description of the case Late on the evening of January 25 of 1997, sixteen-year-old
The Socio-behaviorist theory (behaviorism) Socio-behaviorists often study how children 's experiences model their behaviors (Nolan & Raban, 2015). Behaviorism believes that what matters is not the development itself, but the external factors that shape children 's behaviors (Nolan & Raban, 2015). This theory demonstrates that teachers and mentors dominate and instruct child-related activities, and they decide what children should learn and how to learn (Nolan & Raban, 2015). Reinforcement, which is an essential factor that helps children to learn particular behaviors, generally refers to rewards and punishments (Nolan & Raban, 2015). Children are more likely to repeat actions that result in receiving praise; in contrast, they may ignore or abandon behaviors that make them get punishment.
The purpose of this technique is to bring the blood flow to the area to help it heal. Yes, I can understand that the bruises that are left behind do look like that the individual was abused. With this being a treatment of medicine in the Hmong culture this should be dismissed as abusive, this method is not abusive at all and while the coining is administered to heal the child. If someone does report this type of case to child protective services, is doing their job as a mandated reporter, but before starting this step, they should first question the parent more about their culture of healing and check in to the procedure of coining before making any judgment calls.

For many years the discipline of social psychology develops different theories and perspectives about the human behaviour, taking into account the ethical issues, but also the challenges of personal safety by making direct observation. Many theories focused their study on behaviour to the individual belonging to a crowd. Researchers have described deindividuation as the process of immersion into a group where an individual loses his personal identity and becomes part of the crowd. Studies on deindividuation showed how aggressiveness and anti-normative behaviour arise within crowds, which are influenced by the situation and the environment creating chaos and disruption (for example rioting and hooliganism). Such researchers tend to focus on
Well-defined spaces have least amount of competition levels as social interactions are encouraged. Partially-defined spaces have low level of co-operation as there’s mixed combination of segregation of spaces. Well-defined spaces have positive impacts on development of children whereas, partially-defined spaces have considerably negative impact on their development process. RESULTS From the above behaviour setting analysis of spatial settings according to their degree of spatial definition and separateness, the following results are observed: • Centers with better architecturally defined behavior settings seem to have an impact on certain behaviors, but not on others i.e. the quality of the behaviour setting does not necessarily
The topic of this assignment is to discuss and analyse what factors affect human behavior and in doing so how human behavior is shaped. But before discussing that, it is important to understand what human behavior is. To define it in a few sentences or words would not be sufficient as human behavior consists of many factors and therefore contributes majorly to who we are as a person. But to put it simply, it is defined as all actions and emotions that an individual portrays in response to the different kinds of stimuli they receive no matter whether these responses are conscious or subconscious and voluntary or involuntary (Merriam-webster.com, 2015).
