The Profile of the BTK Killer
Dennis Lynn Rader has struggled with this bloodthirsty, lustful monster that has plagued his psyche—ultimately damaging both himself and the society as a whole. Wichita, Kansas policemen had a difficult time identifying the culprit of ten convicted murders, condoned in broad daylight all within the vicinity, from 1974-1991. Rader, who refers to himself as BTK, was able to strangle and suffocate neighboring victims under the radar for nearly thirty years.
BTK killed in a similar fashion consecutively; his method followed his “bind, torture, kill” perversions and fantasies. Most of BTK’s victims were females of all ages, but males were only attacked if they were concurrently in the same household as the woman

He called in to the police department nearly every incidence he had murdered an individual or a family—and seemed incredibly prideful of it. When investigators had three suspects in for the Otero murders, BTK wrote a letter to them that stated, “Those three dudes you have in custody are just talking to get publicity for the Otero murders. They know nothing at all. I did it by myself and with no one[’]s help. There has been no talk either.” He frequently phoned the authorities, sent them letters and puzzles, and left behind poems and even his backpack with a Barbie doll choked with a nylon stocking. We can all come to an agreement that serial killers are both horrendous and unpredictable human beings. Most acts of violence we hear about are committed by serial killers. Unsatisfied with their previous actions, serials killers look to execute more victims. In most cases, the upbringing of the individual plays a huge role on the killer. Because of their twisted techniques and motives, some of these killers are infamously known to be the most frightening criminals in history.

In this 2nd letter Rader demanded media attention and it was finally announced that Witchita did have a serial killer and a poem was also included in the letter titled "Oh! It can be difficult to understand why anyone would choose to murder another human being. However, not all serial killers have the same motivation behind their crimes. There are many different categories, and each tend to have different reason for why they choose to take the lives of others. The two main types of serial killers are organized and disorganized. From there, they can be broken down into even more specific categories, however, each category will usually fall under organized or disorganized.
In order to know more about two serial killers, Alieen Carol Wuornos and Daniel Harold Rolling, I do some researches and concludes them in the next few paragraphs. Daniel Harold Rolling, “The Gainesville Ripper” that born in May 26, 1954, killed eight people through 1989 to 1990 by using his knife. When he was young, his father, a policeman, always abused his mother, his brother, and him. Although his mother tried to leave his father several times, his mother still returned. After few years, he attempted to kill his father when they got an argument.

The worst thing Dennis Rader did was murder ten innocent people I for his own sick sexual sadist pleasure. After each killing he continued with life as normal, as if nothing even happened. He did things from manipulate his victims to outright lie and kill his victims while looking them in the face while killing them. Anyone who is remotely sane in the world would not feel comfortable killing a human being but leave it to Dennis Rader he killed and lived life as normal.
