Kenny Washington explored the world of the National Football League by becoming the first black NFL player. He encountered prejudice however he did not let this stop him from achieving his goal to play professional football. His dream was to play in the NFL. Kenny was born August 31 1918. Jacob Varner, also known as Jake Varner was born March 24, 1986. He is the son of Steve and Renee Varner, no to mention he is an Olympic Gold Medalist. In college he wrestled for the Iowa State Cyclones and majored in criminal justice. He was one of America’s greatest wrestlers, because his high school and college career prepared him for internationals, he worked hard to achieve goals he set for himself, and he set a path for other wrestlers to follow who aspire to be as great as him. High School and college wrestling both prepared Varner for his future career.
In Patrick Henry’s, “Speech in The Virginia Convention” talks about everyone having liberty and Virginia fighting Britain instead of not doing anything. The first main reason is that the people do not want to sit there and watch Britain walk over them and treat them unfairly. As Henry says in the speech “engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty.” He's saying that they need to take action and stand up for themselves and fight for what they are. The second main reason is that they do not want to be treated like slaves and if they do nothing that's what would happen.
This commemorative coin was based off of the Capitol building in Colonial Williamsburg. The Capitol was where Patrick Henry gave his speech Caesar Brutus. This speech was very inspirational and important to the colonists. This is why on the front side of the coin Patrick Henry’s face is shown along with his famous words “Give me liberty, or give me death!” These very inspirational words are a sign of liberty which is why on the back is the Grand Union Flag.

He presents his people the speech to fight the British and his argument is “there is no retreat but in submission and slavery” meaning that they have to fight or else they will lose everything to the British.

Henry emphasizes that the government's current tactics to gain liberty are not working, by questioning them. Henry asks “Shall we try to argument,” should they use reason to negotiate their freedom with the British government? He assures the Second Virginia council that would not work “Sir, we have been trying that for the past ten years.” He explains that failure is inevitable, if they are merely negotiating. Henry is implying they need a direct approach in order to achieve freedom: war.
