Describe the essential aspects of a self-directed, intrinsically motivated, active learner?
A self-directed, intrinsically motivated, active learner is a person that could be described as person which has important skills to plan his own time, seeing the difficulty as a challenge not as a problem.
The people part of this group are always ready to create their own plan, managing perfectly the time available to them, they are self-disciplined, that means through intrinsic management skills they set their own goal, planning the most perfect strategy to obtain it.
In their attitude there’s space just to discover and learn even more without being forced, just cause of the pleasure to find the solutions to the problems, setting it as the key of

Because intrinsic motivation results in high-quality learning and creativity, it is especially important to detail the factors and forces that engender versus undermine it (Ryan & Stiller, 1991).
They want to be part of the activities conducted in the class.
When they have to listen, prefer to focus to the person that is talking, obtaining more details about the topic matter of studies. An active learner gives important feedbacks to the classmates, engage always participate to courses or discussions forum, doesn’t need advices or motivational speech, basically as an intrinsically motivated learner is self-motivated, working hard without expecting any reward back but just because they really want to do so. Literally a self- learner is confident, doesn’t need to be driven to acquire an object, he use all the resources needed to achieve the goal previously set.
Identify two areas of personal strength and two areas of personal weakness in being a self-motivated and engaged student.
As a personal strength I would say:
Manage your time, desiring to learn different views and ways to achieve your

Plan at least 5 strategies for personal growth and explain how you will implement each one.
It was not so difficult for me, cause I had it already clear on my head:
Time-Management ------- I’m planning to switch from a full-time job contract to a part-time first of all, cause I noticed that studying full-time required a lot of resources, even though there’s not a physical effort during the studies, combine both and their own stress will be not easy.
Self-Discipline ------- Putting rules to myself, such as obligations or simply follow the schedules previously made without avoid anything on those.
Self-Evaluation ------- It’s always important to understand and actually realize if you are doing good or not. I want to test myself after a specified period that I didn’t decide yet, figuring out what I have learned so far and what I have to do to improve my studies.
Self-Confidence ------- Improve my confidence is the key for the success to my studies.
Plan the goal ------- What do I want to do in my life, what I want to improve and where I want to be after my graduation, where should I start.
4. How will you evaluate yourself on the success of your personal growth plan and how will you hold yourself
What is Personal Growth? The average person attends high school in the attempt to get good grades so they can get accepted into a college. Once in college the goal is to pass various courses with good grades so that you are able to graduate once the time is up. From there job hunting starts and people are searching for a career, something they want to devote their life to and are passionate about. That journey through all those years of schooling comes with bumps in the road, times get tough, people doubt the ability in others, and people may even doubt themselves, but growth takes place along that long journey as it is filled full of mistakes and lessons learned.
Person-Centered Theory Human nature (assumption) Person-Centered Theory (PCT) is a theory that develops by an American Psychologist in 1930s which is Carl Rogers. Person-Centered Theory is an approach to counselling and psychotherapy that places much of the responsibility for the treatment process on the client, with the therapist taking a nondirective role. According to Carl Rogers, he stated that a person needs an environment that provides them with genuineness, acceptance and empathy (Saul McLeod 2014).
Use concepts from 2 or more chapters to identify, describe, and explain some things you are learning about yourself when it comes to participating and contributing effectively to a group’s effort. What are your strengths thus far in contributing to your current project group? As you participate in your group, what are you realizing that you need to work on? One thing I find interesting is a concept from chapter one is Thomas’s Intrinsic Motivators. These motivators indicate a sense of meaningfulness, choice, competence, and progress.
I will not worry so much about what will happen in the future and stress out about all the confusion I have experienced. Instead, I will take charge of my future by plotting out what I want to do so I can get ready for adulthood, and its increased amount of stability. I need to be able to create the stability beforehand because I can not just wait for some magical turning point in my life when everything comes out okay. The only way this is going to happen is if I do it myself.
To do these things, first,I may change my personal behavior or choices, like be more discipline, and think about what I’m good at, be more organize. Second thing to know what my priority is what I enjoy the most. My priorities are my education, and work hard, these are my priorities, I know if I do these things I can be successful. According to friend in my senior year in high school she said to me congratulation! then she said you made the first step, but you have more to go and they would be hard, i knew that day,if I want to succeed I have to get ready for them.
In the future I want to be successful not only for myself, but also for my parents and friends to be proud of me. I want to end up being successful with an amazing career, and not end up struggling without the ability
Taking UNIV 1301.48 it has taught me a lot about how to manage my personal and class time. With the Time Study Project, it put my whole week schedule on paper. I saw where I can fit in studying time that will work for me. The Time Study Project showed me the best way to fit in studying time for my classes. I’m choosing the Time Study Project to connect it to the three articles because I can really relate to it
According to Neil Haave (2015) learning should focus on being curious and never running out of questions. Such questioning together with accepting that disappointment is part of the equation drives much of my teaching. Learning must be done from the early age with fun, motivation and curiosity and this must be continued throughout life as we develop in life. Learning should aim for the long term development of a person. Learning should comprise a holistic approach to prepare learners to be effective global citizens in future (Ellis,
A large challenge I have experienced during my educational journey is learning how to manage my time correctly. I do quite a bit outside of school, like doing activities with friends, playing soccer, playing video games, visiting family and going on dates with a girlfriend. Time management hasn't always been a skill of mind, though in primary school through middle school, it was never a big issue for me. Once I hit high school, it became apparent I had to learn how to master time management or else my grades and social life would both suffer. I decided my main focus had to be school work, so I put that above all else.
All of these can step-by-step help me develop my personal and professional skills, also provide a foundation for continued professional development. To conclude my reflection, I have discussed my future employability, how to use the skills and experiences to own professional development,
This book is chosen for self-reflection because I used to think that being confident is only based on our thinking in our mind and want to know if there are some concrete ways to improve it. After reading this book, I found them are quite useful and would like to take it for reference to improve my weaknesses in order to achieve my personal goals. In the following, I would start with the personal development plan which divided into four parts, including the summary of the book, evaluation of my strengths and weaknesses, limitation of achieving personal goals and

By adequately preparing, I set myself up for success and mental stability. By collaborating with my classmates, I reduce the workload and allow myself to dedicate more time to work that will ease my studying. By using effective study methods, I am able to focus more when I learn the material, which in turn, results in me retaining more information in less time. My process has proven successful time and time again, all the while I am able to maintain a social life and get sufficient
Considerations about personal development often stems from either a clear or muddled indication in ones life that lends to a bit of self evaluation. Ensuring that your personal development is in par with the goals, responsibilities and relationships you hope to maintain and nurture is extremely important. Taking responsibility for your decisions and being truthful with yourself is such an important part in your quest to becoming a better person. After all, if you can't be honest with yourself, you will not be able to move forward successfully. You are in control of the person you were meant to be, so take control of your situation and you are one step closer to being that person.
Self-Improvement Goals 1. Stop procrastinating over my homework and organize my time better. 2. Begin to make new friends at school this year. 3.
