I have always loved family vacations. Getting out of town and being together is what makes vacations so fun. The one place we can always count on to bring us a fun filled time is Branson, Missouri. Ever since I have been in my mother’s womb, I have been going to Branson. To be exact, I have been to Branson nineteen times. We have gone every year since I was born, and sometimes we go twice a year. We know every restaurant and attraction there is to know. Many people may say Branson is boring, but I know a side of Branson that would change their mind. As soon as we arrive in Branson, I can already feel my ears popping. Surrounding Branson are mountains that appear to go on for miles and are as tall as the sky. We head towards the landing strip to start the adventures. The landing strip is what I like to call a “mini Las Vegas” because at night all the hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues light up the city. Lake Taney Como is the starting point of the landing. Heading north on the landing, I can see the antique gift shops that are …show more content…
It is an amusement park that has an old fashioned feel to it. As I walk into the gates, I immediately get a whiff of my childhood. I can smell the funnel cakes, fudge, and salt water taffy. As I hop on the first roller coaster, I become a 10 year old again. The ride takes off and we head towards the sky. As I look around while I’m at the top of the ride, I can see all the green trees in hands reach, all the workers dressed in traditional colonial outfits, and more rides that are beckoning me. While I am walking through the park, I notice on my left a chip carver who is carving home décor items for people to purchase. I look to my right and see a woman playing the violin for show and many other craftsmen. As the day turns to night, the park gets more exciting. The whole park lights up and creates a new world for me to discover, and it is like the fun starts over in a new

These amusement parks were an effort to bring together the different cultures seen in the urban cities. Throughout my life, I have traveled to many different cities in the United States. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to experience staying in a different country or foreign culture for an extended period. One experience that I experienced culture shock in would be my travels to Mississippi. About six years ago, I joined my grandmother’s family in their travel to her native hometown of Holly Springs, Mississippi to visit her relatives.
My trip to South Dakota was the most memorable vacation I have been on because of the many marvels the landscape had to offer. I fondly remember diving into history and learning about the historic sites, marveling at the vastness of the Black Hills and Badlands, and gawking in amazement at the beauty and mystery of the caves. e. Preview: My trip encompassed many of the famous sites that South Dakota has to offer. Visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, the Badlands, the Black Hills, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave and Homestake Mine.
Atlantic City was once the powerhouse of the east coast raking in tourists, large sums of money, and monopolizing the gambling industry. Nick Paumgarten wrote “The Death and Life of Atlantic City”, which states “The casino closures in Atlantic City have contributed to the loss of nearly 10,000 jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics” (102). Four out of the twelve casinos closed which contributed to 8,000 of those jobs. Three of the remaining casinos are currently facing bankruptcy which contributes to the other 2,000 people left jobless. The question Atlantic City is faced with a matter of needing more gambling or less?
For the longest time had I been asking to go here, the day has finally came. I was nine then, my first time at Cedar Point (other then when I was like two or three but I don’t count that) and for most of the car ride I was all smiles. My family would look out and see who could be the first one to find the roller coasters. I thought it took forever to get through the car lines-being an anxious and impatient girl-
The time had come for our annual band trip. The band was on its way to encounter many fun attractions. The event I was most ecstatic for was Six Flags! The day we visited Six Flags I walked around with five of my friends and my girlfriend. We spent the whole day riding the park’s fantastic rides.
As the clock struck 6:45 we were all ready to start a new adventure. As we drove into Disney, we could see Cinderella’s Castle. After we parked the car we rode on the people mover that took us to Magic Kingdom. As we entered the gates, we all were really eager. We could see everything that there was to do.

Everybody is a kid at heart. Well, getting occupied with all our to dos and responsibilities sometimes make us really look for that thrill and excitement which is all about sojourns, breaking free and simply having fun, just like what we used to do as a child. That’s why I love theme parks! It’s a place for thrills, exhilaration and amusement, where hyper-energy and creativity thrive and joy-rides are but typical. Do you know that theme parks started from the recreational idea of traditional parks?
Moving is always hard. It is harder if you are moving from your birthplace to a culturally different country after spending most of your teenage years. I moved from Bangladesh to New York about a year and a half ago and let me tell you, it was not easy. I had to leave the place I grew up in, my friends and relatives and start a new life here in America. Probably the only good part was that at least I was with my family throughout this hardship.
It all started on a summer day, I went to nags head beach with my family. We got a big beach house with my whole family and a few friends. This was about 4 years but it feels like it was just the other day. We went at the very end of the summer. It was still nice and warm outside.
