I have always loved family vacations. Getting out of town and being together is what makes vacations so fun. The one place we can always count on to bring us a fun filled time is Branson, Missouri. Ever since I have been in my mother’s womb, I have been going to Branson. To be exact, I have been to Branson nineteen times. We have gone every year since I was born, and sometimes we go twice a year. We know every restaurant and attraction there is to know. Many people may say Branson is boring, but I know a side of Branson that would change their mind. As soon as we arrive in Branson, I can already feel my ears popping. Surrounding Branson are mountains that appear to go on for miles and are as tall as the sky. We head towards the landing strip to start the adventures. The landing strip is what I like to call a “mini Las Vegas” because at night all the hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues light up the city. It is an amusement park that has an old fashioned feel to it. As I walk into the gates, I immediately get a whiff of my childhood. I can smell the funnel cakes, fudge, and salt water taffy. As I hop on the first roller coaster, I become a 10 year old again. The ride takes off and we head towards the sky. As I look around while I’m at the top of the ride, I can see all the green trees in hands reach, all the workers dressed in traditional colonial outfits, and more rides that are beckoning me. While I am walking through the park, I notice on my left a chip carver who is carving home décor items for people to purchase. I look to my right and see a woman playing the violin for show and many other craftsmen. As the day turns to night, the park gets more exciting.
