October 12, 1991. The wind was blowing, the trees’ leaves were starting to wear autumnal colors and were falling under the last shy rays of sun. While the sky was slowly turning dark, a small, 22-year-old woman named Christine was walking in the street, ready to party. During the thick and hazy night, in the middle of a crazy party, the young and carefree woman, intrigued, walked to a man. She initiated the discussion with those simple, silly words without knowing that the young man would be the true love she hoped to find.
December 5, 2015. On a cold winter’s night, while my family and I were eating in a restaurant, my dad suddenly stood up. My parents knew and loved each other for ages, but they had never been married in their 24 year-long relationship. At this exact moment, my heart stopped beating. I was so excited for them to be finally wife and husband.
June 25, 2016. After months and months of preparation, THE day finally arrived—the day when my parents would finally say “I do” to each other; I’d been waiting for this day since I was young. The sun woke me up; opening my bedroom’s windows I could feel the hot summer breeze and the sunlight slightly touching my skin. Ready to live this incredible day with my parents, I opened the door and quickly walked to the kitchen where I could smell the enchanting aroma of hot buns, fresh from the oven.
Excited for the upcoming event, I wanted to make sure that everything in the room was perfect for tonight; my grandma kindly
When I write about her now, three decades later,... but I know for a fact that what we felt for each other was as deep and rich as love can ever get.” “I just loved her”
No matter how much I did not like it then, I am glad they did. My parents had me when my father was 18 and my mom was 23 years of age. They met at the church they both attended when they were young. My mothers maiden name is Norma Alvarez.
Jannie was a bright, young girl who like any girl at the age of fifteen wanted to be in love. On a hot summer day in a small town near Houston, Texas, Jannie met Lawrence. Lawrence seemed perfect in Jannie's perspective. He was older, had a nice a car, and to top it off, he was gorgeous. Nevertheless, it didn’t take long for Jannie and Lawrence to be acquainted.
‘When did we meet for what’ she asked. ‘ I mean-- originally.’ He knew she must be frowning in the dark. He clarified it. ‘ The first time we ever met, where was it, and when?’
It was at Lucas Graham's Christmas party that Tom Yilmaz first saw Mollie Conrad. Not for the first time in his life- they had attended the same school for nearly seven years and had been in the same class more than once- but it was the first time he really saw her. As soon as she walked in the room, everyone's head turned to look at her, because she looked so... different. Normally, she wore her dark hair in a messy ponytail, with her demeanour unassuming and her voice rarely heard, but now... now her hair cascaded over her creamy shoulders, her eyes were bright and she looked stunning in her burgundy dress.
Now where is the dinner?” I sat next to my dad and started to eat the tin foil dinner my mom had packed earlier. I ate the broth and vegetables and later cooked some s’mores with my
I asked. Dad smiled like I’d offered him the key to the mint. ‘I love you so much,’ he said. ‘You’re ten thousand times better than I deserve, Ashes.’ ‘Have a fry,’ I said, pushing my plate toward him.
It was a late, around nine o’clock, on Saturday April 20, 2013 when a few of us from Bear River High School decided to go to Senor Frogs to celebrate Olivia’s birthday. Olivia and I use to be best friends back in elementary school that is until we transferred to high school and she destroyed my reputation over jealousy. I didn’t care much for celebrating her birthday, however, I had been in love with her boyfriend Tyler ever since I laid eyes on him freshman year. Nonetheless, Olivia made sure he never knew who I was.
I always watched from the same spot on the porch, entertained from her laughter and seeing her body shake with joy. “Julie,” Paul said from behind me. “I need to talk to you.” My heart, so distant, sped up that second. I thought of the light I had turned on when Travis kissed me months before.
May 31, 2013 is the date i tried my first tootsie roll, and when I did I quickly said to my mother who sitting next to me, “We should get some of these for home”. And she responded to my request with a yes! This is how it all started for my love of Tootsie Rolls. So about a month later my family had started to eat my candy and I wasn’t to mad at that time, at least it wasn’t to the point to where it was gone in 60 seconds. Well as soon as I thought it wasn’t so bad my Uncle David came over and ate half of them and I started to become annoyed by the fact three pieces of my candy were left and it was only Tuesday.

Jazz as an art form has a rich history as one of the first indigenous American musical styles. Born in the south, Jazz was a way for African American’s to express themselves musically in a time of suppression, and its differences from the music at the time would change music culture forever. I still remember July 31, 2015 like it was yesterday. I was lying in bed at five in the morning, contemplating the day I had ahead of me on a warm summer morning. Hearing a knock on my bedroom door, my mom walked in and whispered that she was leaving for the hospital with my dad. All I could manage to do was hug her. My mom was scheduled to be induced to have my youngest brother, Andrew.
What is Love? If you were to search it up you get the vague definition which reads: an intense feeling of deep affection. But it’s so much more, it has so many different meanings to people. Even wrong meanings that people associate it with. Love comes in many different forms, such as: friendship, family, and partnership.
What is love? Everybody has his/her own understanding and definition of love. In order to better understand all the complexity of such a phenomenon, it is worth analyzing specific scenarios. Therefore, this paper concentrates on one of such scenarios, which, in fact, is one from my personal experience. I had been in a long-distance relationship that had lasted a little over a year.
