Have you ever thought of a place that brings back so many memories and all you think of is happiness? For me, this place is a little motel room in Florence, Wisconsin. The motel room in which my family and I stay at every year for deer hunting. The same motel, the same room, the same group of guys, every year. Ever since I started deer hunting, which was 5 years ago, we’ve stayed in room 1 of the only motel in Florence. Now, this room is nothing spectacular; it is a small two bedroom room with worn out scenery. The furniture is old and raggy, the silverware is outdated, and only about half the lights work. The whole motel, in general, has maybe ten total rooms. It may look old and worn out, but something about it makes for a perfect …show more content…
Our favorite game to play is cribbage, and we will stay up till near midnight doing so, even though we know we’d have to wake up in a couple of hours to hunt. But hunting wasn’t the main reason for going up north, it more so to have a good time and bond with one another. The deer hunting crew knows how special this room is to all of us, which is why we make it a mission to reserve it for the same weekend every year. We know we can’t lose our room, so we make a down payment to the owner promising that we’d come back next year. There have been many people who have tried to reserve a room in the motel, but the rooms are always full around deer hunting season. The room is well worth the extra money in return for an unforgettable time. To the naked eye, it may look like dump, but for me, it is a place that carries a much deeper meaning. We may not continue to rent this little motel room for the rest of my life, but I can guarantee if we leave the room, the memories that came with it will always reappear in my memories. Until that day, I will continue looking forward to going back next year with my deer hunting

So throughout the season the weather will change dramatically. At the start of the season the hunter might wear a t-shirt and pants, but when November rolls around it might be several layers. Then when January hits it will be lots of insulated and thick clothing. However, rifle season is only a week and a half in December and a week in January. By then it will be snowy and cold.
“I love it and it has been a tradition in my family to hunt,” said Sydney Johnson. What some readers may not realize is that hunting is like another holiday for hunters. Many people can't wait for hunting to start. This is because they love the sport. Owen and many others hunt to manage the population of the deer and for the meat.
Furthermore, only 28% of the group knew what the term tubular ligation means, and 66% of the group concurred that hunting remains the best way to control whitetail deer populations. These statistics confirmed the theory that “the whitetail deer populations are on the rise as the result of the lack of young hunters” to be false. Furthermore, this survey verifies that the public trust the idea of hunting instead of relying on the impractical techniques practiced by

There is one thing in the woods that is really exciting and that is turkey hunting. Turkeys will get your heart racing and you blood rushing and have you shaking in just five seconds. When he comes up there strutting, spitting, and drumming, that’s when it gets real. When you hit that “yawt yawt” and he cuts you off gobbling that is when you know that he is just as good as dead. I am gonna tell plenty of turkey hunting experiences that i have had so i do not have to have a works cited page or nothing.
It is also important to respect the views of other members of the community when transporting trophies and other parts of harvested deer. Never display a deer on the way home. Wherever possible, cover the carcass and head with a blanket or tarpaulin. Respect the habitat Quality habitat is the key to a healthy population of game and other wildlife. When camping, make sure you set up at least 20 meters away from rivers or waterbodies and wherever possible, bring your own firewood from home.
Eventually, we had arrived at Arlington, Virginia. My family got to stay in an apartment. Unsurprisingly, I was really excited to be staying somewhere other than a tiny hotel for once. I had never stayed in an apartment before. I didn’t know this at the time, because my mom didn’t tell us, but the yelling and banging I had been hearing occasionally was the prisoners at the
I will never forget that encounter the intense sun, the endless horizon, the infinite shades of blue that dissolved any boundary between sky and trees. The views were like swimming into a kaleidoscope, deceptively plain "Lake Winaukee" sign on the outside, but a show of colors on the inside, waiting to shock and, mesmerize me. Those colors! Sails on the horizon covered the lake; streaks of sunlight illuminated them, the swaying wildlife creating a dance of rhythm. Beautiful, preserved life synchronizing every movement with the camp sight creating one living entity.
The rooms are neat, clean and have adequate space. Ms. Compton reported that although her room is located downstairs, she sleeps upstairs in the guestroom when Comelia is
In the short story “That Room” by Tobias Wolff the room and what happens in it represents the realization the narrator has about how he has no control of his life. He wants a better life than the one he is living right now. He thrives for greatness in his life but he can only create that greatness in his mind. “I felt the actuality of a life I knew nothing about yet somehow contrived to want myself: a real life in a real world” (Wolff 269). The narrator in this story can’t really do anything about the life his living at the moment, he only wishes to do so.
The Hunt It was a gloomy September day and the bear hunting season was about to begin. The old farm truck was loaded full with barrels of cooking grease, assorted candy, birdseed and tubes of sticky frosting. We were to hunt four hours north in a little town called Orr, Minnesota. My family had an 80 acre lot that we used strictly for hunting. My mom volunteered to sit in the stand with me and videotape the hunt.
Hunting is a fun and enjoy the sport, it allows you to watch how wildlife works in mother nature. Most people hunt for the fun, to wake up early drink some coffee and go to your stand and look at God's’ beautiful earth. I have a lot of memories hunting and i've learned a lot of how to hunt and what to use from mistakes in the past. My most favorite memory was when it was a runt season in the middle of November, and a little buck ran into my stand chasing a doe. When wanting to hunt, there are lots of requirements and restrictions to go by.
One of the best days of my life was when we went deer hunting in South Dakota with my dad, brother, uncle and two cousins, but before I tell you about my trip let me tell you how it started. We left early in the morning to head to South Dakota where my cousin Jacob, who had just got a job as Game warden in Custer State Park, was taking us deer hunting. We got as far as Fargo, North Dakota when my cousin Keith asked my dad where our license were. Then to our surprise we forgot them back at home. We were lucky enough to have my two aunts and mom bring us the license because they were going to Fargo that day anyways for a girls shopping day.
