They learned food and Navigation which was helpful. The expedition provided extensive facts of natural resources, size, minerals, and geology of the area. Lewis and Clark were able to document over 100 animal species and over 170 plants. If people hadn 't ever documented animals or plants, other people would only know what they saw and wouldn 't know the many different varieties and species that there are in this world. The Lewis and Clark expedition provided widespread knowledge about the topography of the Pacific Northwest and produced more than 140 maps of the region and we all know how important maps are to us in the past and present

First off the weather is so cold there that they have igloos as houses. That means that they can use their surrounding ice and snow to build a home that can stay there even through the summer. The Inuit can also build houses out of wood but it is very rare to see in a village because there are not a lot of trees in the arctic for them to cut down and build as houses, plus it takes more effort and work when they could just have an igloo and get other more important things done. Next thing that is different between the other two tribes is that the Inuit think that they are the most important barometer in the world because what happens in the world, like global changes, always happen there first. Therefore we can figure out what’s gonna happen to us in the next few years from the information based off of the arctic.
The Corps was persuaded to stay one more day. Lewis and Clark exchanged with Sacagawea horses if she lead them through the land and mountains as well as helping translate and interpret. The Corps also needed food to eat when it was hard for them to provide on their own. After being welcomed into the Wanapam and Yakima tribes, Lewis and Clark exchanged items like knitting paraphernalia for dog meat to eat. By exchanging goods and knowledge, Lewis and Clark were able to successfully complete their journey with the help of the goods exchanged
Also, they would have to report things like how fertile the soil was, or if it was barren, if Native Americans were friendly, if there were dangerous animals, or ones that are unknown, recording things about their destination was a massive part of the exploration. The Journey of Discovery consisted of Meriwether Lewis,
Members chosen for the expedition were sought after for skills that included hunting, blacksmithing, and gunsmithing, making United States Army soldiers a good option for crew who traveled by land, water and horseback, for nearly 8,000 miles over mountains, through plains and by rivers (The Lewis and Clark Expedition, 2016). The success of the Lewis and Clark expedition was important to science, as they made important observations about the land of North America that lead to creation of maps with Captain Clark having the duty of mapping the landscape because of his experience: the result of maps made by Clark became one of the most important achievements of the western exploration. (The Lewis and Clark Expedition, 2016). The scientific information collected on geography, meteorology, cultures, and animal life and plant life were greatly important to the nation (Corps of Discover, 2016). It was one of those scorching summer day that always brought the same circumstances day in and day out. Dehydration, strokes, hyperthermia, and fevers were just some of the conditions that happen to people on a typical summer day in the Grand Canyon State. Also, weather was always a vigorous barricade that strained people from being active outside, but that would not restrain me from backpacking Camelback Mountain. I’ve heard numberless intimidating stories about people dying as well as obtaining severe injuries, but that was not about to terrify me. Today was the day that I was going to overcome my fears by hiking one of the uttermost difficult mountains in Arizona, Camelback Mountain.
To begin with, this paper will look at a quick overview of Kuklinski then exploring more into his early childhood, life with the mob and finally how he was brought to justice. Kuklinski alleges to have murdered over one hundred people before being caught in 1986 (A&E Television Networks, 2017). Kuklinski worked for the mob as a contract killer and enforcer but this did not mean he would not kill people for other reasons. Kuklinski was given the name “The Iceman” because of his technique of freezing the victims to complicate the time of their deaths (A&E Television Networks, 2017). Kuklinski was eventually incarcerated in 1988 and later on died in prison at the age of 70 in 2006.
Without the information that was brought back from exploring these lands, Americans would be lost when colonizing the West. There were 59 people and one dog that participated over the course of the expedition, though everyone that joined didn’t make it to the Pacific.
Jack Ma once said, “The world needs new leadership, but the new leadership is about working together.” This could not be more true at Boston University through its Kilachand Honors College. I believe it is because their approach of interdisciplinary problem-solving, is about expanding students’ world-views. In this program you are learning with different individuals who have different interest and fields of study. According to Pew Research Center, “Political polarization is the defining feature of early 21st century American politics...”.
The trails weren’t the easiest to travel through either. A lot of people would travel by sea which was about 17,000 miles and a four to nine month journey depending on weather. The trip was in both hot where you would broil it was so hot and so cold you
The weather plays a factor because, during the winter it is time for rain and for the most part the days are always gloomy and people are stuck at home. Moreover, in this chapter, the weather demonstrates this factor and helps illuminate the feeling of imprisonment and being in your own little
Born in Osaka, Japan on September 4, 1913, Kenzo Tange was one of the foremost architects of the twenty century, and was considered a genius for the buildings he designed throughout his prolific career.
