Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. – Confucius I was 16 at that time! Going for holidays during long vacations is customary for any closely knitted Indian family and as part of our itinerary, we decided to visit a number of destinations in north India including Shimla, Manali, Amritsar, and Agra. The last destination however turned out to be the most fascinating. On the very first day of landing in Agra, we decided to visit the legendary Taj Mahal. While I was always aware of Taj Mahal’s celebrated reputation of being in the coveted list of “ Wonders of the world", surprisingly what appealed most to me was not just its aesthetics. Everyone around me was endlessly speaking about the breath-taking beauty of this pure white marble mausoleum. While its splendor enthralled my parents, my grandparents saw it as a symbol of everlasting love. I however saw it quite differently. I was impressed by the sheer strength of the 100s of years old structure that was still standing so strong as if it was built yesterday. Basketball started as an early interest and soon grew to become my abiding passion. I have been playing basketball for my college team for the past two years and have helped my team win several tournaments. Basketball is more than just a game for me.
