Why Walking Should Replace Exercise

Walking always seemed like a waste of time to me. Now I realize how good it makes me feel. When I was young I felt that walking exercising was so stressful to me. But now walking exercising for an hour has become my habit. I think I am getting addicted to walking. I felt so awesome after walking one mile with the classmates. I cannot say that walking should replace exercise, but I wanted to express my experience of how it has affected my mental state. Walking is fun, exercise, and timing yourself while walking can give you a good perspective on how much you do or do not walk. For my perception of activity before completion; I was thinking walking one mile was not worth the effort, but now I can say that any kind of activity that gets your heart rate up can benefit your cardiovascular health. I wanted to quit and the only reason that I kept pushing myself was because my classmates were there with me. The teacher was really encouraging and helped me to stay focused. I could feel my heart beating faster and my muscles were sore and could not carry me anymore. After the activity, I heard a group of my classmates discussing how sore they felt and this helped me feel more confidence because I knew I was not alone. I was not as flexible as I thought I was because my muscles started to cramp and I knew that I had to stretch more often. My weaknesses from the activities were that I am usually lazy and it takes me a long time to commence a physical activity. This activity really encouraged me and it was an eye-opener for me because I realized how unfit I am. However, my strengths are that once I start an activity nothing usually stops me, I always want to push myself to the end. I am mentally tough and I face all challenges that I overcome during exercises without any fear of the intensity of the
