Destination piece- Wanganui
Wanganui also spelt Whanganui, is a small riverside town located in the lower Western coast of New Zealand’s North Island. It is a fantastic starting point for travelling to National Park during the winter season to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and more! Wanganui has a small population of 40,000 and offers plenty of local tourist attractions. It is a hub of cafés and a centre for art, music and motorsports. It is set amongst rolling hills and bordered by steep ranges and beyond them lies National Park and Mount Ruapehu, popular for winter activities.

To get here you can either drive from a main airport of fly from Auckland or Wellington to the small local airport. There are several flights a week and bookings can be made online. You can also travel via bus with any of the main bus transport companies.
Wanganui Township consists of plenty of cafes and shops with a main plaza located opposite the river. There is plenty of accommodation and local transport is offered in the way of buses and taxis.

Eating
Wanganui has plenty of delicious restaurants and has many popular cafes. Mud ducks is a great café located down on the river next to the information centre. They offer a delicious range of products and make excellent coffees. Another popular café is the big ‘O’, located on the corner of the main street Victoria Avenue, opposite the historic water
Another nearby place to find something yummy is Pino Gelato, which offers coffee, tea, amazing blood orange sorbet, and salted caramel with strawberry cheesecake—just to name a couple of notable items. When it comes to drinks, Okaloosa Island has a vibrant selection of great places to try! Take for example, Giovanni 's One89.
There are Thai and Hibachi style buffets; such as Thai Pepper and Hibachi Buffet on Ramsey Street. There’s even a popular sandwich restaurants for locals to enjoy. For an example, Schlotzsky is known for its delicious oven-baked sandwiches and gourmet pizzas. Along with enjoying flat breads, soups and salads. The wait time is a bit on the heavy side, but only because your food is handmade by the best.
My research on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Communities, led me to my local Council, the City of Whittlesea, as I am not currently working or started my work-placement. The City of Whittlesea recognises the rich Aboriginal heritage of Australia and acknowledges the Wurundjeri Willum people as the traditional owners. Before European settlement, the Aboriginal people of the Wurundjeri Willum lived on the land that now forms the City of Whittlesea and the northern suburbs of Melbourne. There are currently between 1000 and 1500 Wurundjeri Willum people living in Victoria.

The Wyandotte people, also known as the Wendat or Huron, possess a rich cultural heritage that has withstood the test of time. The Wyandotte people were original inhabitants of the areas around the Great Lakes region, particularly concentrated in present-day Ontario, Canada. They formed a confederacy of several tribes with a complex social structure and a flourishing agricultural society.
The Ngunnawal People have been living within the borders and surrounding mountains of the Australian Capital Territory for over 25,000 years. The way the Indigenous people used the land to live off was extremely efficient and sustainable. They had a bounty of knowledge about the land surrounding them, and over generations, devised resourced management skills to ensure maintenance of the animals and plants, and most importantly, the land in which provided these things. Aboriginal culture existed long before Captain Cook arrived in Australia in 1770. He claimed the land to be "Terra-Nullius", meaning that the land did not belong to any person.
The Seneca-Cayuga Nation did not start as a whole. They were two different groups that decided to come together and be one nation. The Seneca-Cayuga Nation is a relatively small tribe that is located in Oklahoma that came from New York State, yet they still own and operate many businesses throughout the Empire State. The Seneca-Cayuga Nation originated from New York State.
Tyonajanegen was part of the Oneida tribe. The Oneida were religious people that were a part of the Iroquois Confederacy. She was also married to a very important man, Han Yerry. Yerry was born in the Oneida tribe, but he was also part German and Mohawk descent. Yerry was the chief warrior of the wolf clan, one of the several branches of the Oneida.
Some people believe that changes can be good, but others are impacted every moment changes are taken place. The city of Minneapolis represents diversity in communities, weather, buildings, and streets. In the book, “The Hiawatha” by David Treuer, introduces the changes in Minneapolis and the impact on a Native American family and others in the community. Simon, Betty, and Lincoln are affected economically, politically, and ethnically as changes are made in Minneapolis. They discover the destruction of important buildings and homes as time pass.
Throughout history there have been many Queens. All over the world, many monarchies had an influence on their people. Such was the same during the 19th century in Hawaii. Before the United States took over, was Queen Liliuokalani. Queen Liliuokalani may be called a hero if we define the term as a person who, endowed with extraordinary qualities of heart and mind, determined to achieve a near impossible goal to restore monarchy powers and succeeds in the face of serious opposition against the United States.

GGrowing up on the Navajo Nation is an experience, compared to residing in a city. I grew up in Tuba City, an hour north of Flagstaff, AZ. Tuba City, a town with a population a little over 8,500, several restaurants, one grocery store, two high schools, and two stoplights. On the other hand, the town is growing.

The café is the main dining area it has mediocre food and somewhat of a selection. The Sub Connection serves decent subs along with a side of chips, soup or a fruit. The Sub Connection is decent, but it’s doesn’t even compare to Subway. They only give you a six inch sub with your meal plan swipe. If you want a foot-long sandwich you have to pay for the second half.
We strolled into Muriel's Kitchen (36 – 38 Old Compton Street London W1D 4TT) in light of the fact that we saw a group and legitimately expected it would be a better than average informal breakfast alternative. Our suppers were entirely great (the blueberry hotcakes—flavorful) and the crisp organic product juices were exactly what we required on a Sunday morning.
