Homeroom Reflection Junior year I have grown as a student this semester by watching the mala movie. This has helped me grow as a student because it showed me how just one voice can change so much in a community. From this experience I learned how Mala was an ordinary girl but who ones spoke up for what she believed was right for her community and the people all around her. After she started to change her community on a positive way for example, have more schools so students can have an education and making sure girls were able to attend school more often. Therefore, when she spoke up for what she thought was right and changed people 's life there was some who didn 't appreciate what she was doing so decided to shot her and ended up shooting her on her forehead.

At the same time, Illiana has stayed the same throughout the years. Illiana’s building, classes, and dress code are very different from the early 70’s, but its discipline policies and after school activities are still very similar.
College, although it is an esteemed institution acknowledged for its cultivation of young minds, is an establishment notorious for the expansion of its students’ waistlines. The infamous “Freshman Fifteen” is a nightmare turned reality for thousands of incoming college students nationwide. Hoards of fledgling undergraduates struggle to maintain a healthy physique under the stresses of their hectic academic and social schedules. Late-night snacking during cramming sessions, deficient exercise regimens, and overconsumption of high-calorie dining hall foods are additional factors that attribute to students packing on the pounds. Although freshman weight gain is commonly widespread today, it is not absolutely inevitable.

The “freshmen fifteen” is a term used for the fifteen pounds students gain on average during their first year of college. As first year students they, tend to get extremely stressed out with work load and exams. The finances of a student are limited as majority of them live off loans and cannot afford groceries. Meanwhile the students that can afford groceries do not know how to cook leaving them to eat out at restaurants or sign up with the college for meal plans. With an excessive work load and little spare time the students schedule become irregular and the most nutritional meals are missed.
Many people attend these Friday Night football games because they see it as a tradition. I was never quite able to understand this until after I graduated high school and had been attending the games every fall Friday night for four years as a part of the marching band. Now as a recent graduate of Cambria Heights, I have come to understand the meaning of these Friday night football games like everyone else does. These games are not just a time to come and see an entertaining football game or the marching band performance (although those are perfectly great reasons to go!), but it is a time to catch up with friends, both those who we see often and those who we do not see so much anymore. These Friday night games serve as a time where people
