The purpose of this research is to examine whether salary, job security and stability, opportunities for advancement and promotion, and students’ perception on accounting field will influence the decision to pursue professional accounting programs of accounting students in Malaysia. This research is included descriptive research and quantitative research. Descriptive research is a survey which the purpose is to produce an accurate representation of person, event or solution (Saunders, Lewis, & Thornhill, 2009). Descriptive research will present the researchers a chance to use quantitative data to discover the data and characteristic related to population or phenomenon that is being studied (Bajpai, 2011). The undergraduate students who are taking Bachelor of degree in accounting and accounting and finance in several Universities within Malaysia are the target population for this research. Next, a sample of 200 students was selected to get feedback to perform the data analysis research. The questionnaire will directly distribute to the respondents through online questionnaire survey and face to face interaction, which is non-probability sampling will be applied. The information will be gained from the sample of 200 students from Universities in Malaysia and to analyze how each of the respondent responds towards the factors chosen which included salary, job security and stability, opportunities for advancement and promotion, and students’ perception on accounting field and to examine whether these factors affects the accounting students’ decision to pursue professional accounting program in several Universities within Malaysia. Last but not least, non-probability sampling includes convenience sampling, self-selection sampling, and et cetera. Convenience sampling would be adopted in this research. According to Saunders, Saunders, Lewis and Thornhill (2009), convenience sampling is defined as choosing the case which is easier to get the sample. This research location is selected because there are many Universities located in this area and it is the most convenient location available to us for the purpose of data collection.
