I would rather live in Miami, Florida than in Peoria, Illinois, because Miami is near Disney, has great shops, and nice weather. Ever since I was a little girl, I have been infatuated with Disney. I passed that infatuation down to my siblings. My parents love to travel with us.
High Tides and the Hostetter 's, Plus One If you ask anyone, they will tell you that my family is obsessed with the beach. This is not true, we just really like to get our quarterly intake of Vitamin Sea. We normally go to the beach for Fall Break, Spring Break, and Summer Break. There are many different places we like to go, and have many wonderful stories from all of them.
I’d consider a score of thirteen to one a butt-kicking, especially coming against one of the proudest travel teams in all of Ohio. With a record of three wins and no losses, our hopes were high. That night we went back to hotel we stayed at and had one of the most enjoyable nights of my life. To this day I still remember it fondly. Buffalo Wild Wings with friends then staying up until twelve-thirty running around the hotel playing tag probably wasn’t the right thing to do eight hours before our next game, but it was enjoyable and luckily for us it didn’t bite us in the butt.
Alabama Trip My mom and and dad told me in December that we were going to Gulf Shores, Alabama to visit my grandparents. Gulf Shores is the southernmost town in Alabama, located on the north coast of the Gulf of Mexico. I have been there twice when I was little. I remember that I collected seashells and went swimming with Boppa in the pool.
Cliff Jumping at Smith Lake If you think jumping off a diving board is fun, you should try cliff jumping. At the end of the summer (2015) my family and I went to Smith Lake, Alabama. We had heard about this beautiful lake from some friends of ours who had went recently and loved it.
My first memory I am going to share with you is when we went to Catalina Island for a week. Sleeping in the cabins were one of the most fun parts of going to Catalina because we told each other jokes and talked about the day’s activities. Another awesome part about Catalina was what we called “Day Trip,” were we kayaked out to a secluded beach and spent the day there. The best thing we did before leaving Catalina was the “Big Swing.” Our classmates would pull us up into the air and
There is something special about tossing a line in the water, kicking your feet back, blasting the radio to your favorite tunes, and leaving all of your worries behind. It is an indescribable feeling. Come summer time, that is exactly what I look forward to the most: living easy, living simply, living in the moment with a fishing pole in my hand. Most of my summers were spent in Ocean City, Maryland, arguably one of the filthiest and grungiest beaches I have ever set foot on. However, this place held a special place in my heart as it was where my father first taught me how to fish.
This quote is not irrelevant to Wyatt because before this moment Leila was afraid of him and this meant the world to him. Wyatt will never forget the beach, and he will definitely not forget the smile he had from ear to ear ☺ (Hyperbole), that is why it is a great word to put into the title. Shelley Noble uses the two most powerful words for the title that mean the world to Wyatt and he sure will never forget the words ‘forever beach.’ The title in this book was an amazing fit for the story in general.
I was born and raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, an area immersed in a relaxed coastal culture and a vibrant jazz and blues heritage. Gulfport is located right off the Gulf of Mexico and less than an hour from New Orleans, Louisiana. Living near the Gulf, heavily influenced my childhood, I would spend weekends at the beach, and long hours traveling to distant islands far from the coast I called home. The music you would hear at the beach were always from timeless Americana artist; such as, Bob Dylan and Jonny Cash. My parents, not musicians themselves, were infatuated with the music of the late 1980’s from artists like Prince, Michael Jackson, and Journey.
The most beautiful thing I have seen is Hemlock Cliffs. I love going there in the summer and winter because it is always beautiful to go explore and find new caves, waterfalls, and paths. In the summer if you go there, there are many sites to see and adventure in! My dad and I are the only ones who usually go, so we don’t go in many caves, but when we do, they are amazing! Hemlock Cliffs has many paths to venture off in, so you want to stay with an adult the whole time.
I’ve lived in Montgomery, Alabama for as long as I can remember. I’ve never lived anywhere else, but I 'm glad that I have gotten to see more than just Montgomery. I feel like Montgomery is a very historic city because Rosa parks and Martin Luther King Jr. lived here. I always thought that this was a very cool place to live and learn about my surroundings. When I was little I lived in apartments called Highland Village, where I met my best friends.
Over the past ten years I don’t think a birthday or holiday has gone by without me asking to go to Cancun Mexico. I have always dreamed of sitting on the beach in the white sand and swimming in the clear blue water. A few things I have always wanted to do for the first time while in Mexico include, parasailing, zip lining, and snorkeling. Going to Mexico will also be the first time I have ever been out of the country. I think that this is something I have always wanted to do because all four of my older cousins have been at least once.
Growing up on Hilton Head and watching the multicolored sunsets at the end of everyday wasn 't something I wanted to give up just yet. A large portion of my family lives in Spartanburg. Living up there with family I haven 't seen in a while will remove the anxiety of being away from home. Students from USC Upstate are international. They don 't all come from South Carolina, but all over the world.
The tan sand and crystal clear water at the beach is the most beautiful landscape it could offer. Remembering all of the great memories of my family and I going to the beautiful beaches always makes me miss the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the sound of kids playing and making sand castles, and the sound of the salsa music blasting through speakers always makes me visualize the great moments back home. Besides the people and the culture, the environment is one of the most important aspects of the island because of the beauty it offers to the world. Back home my family and I all spoke Spanish, and when we moved Ocala, Florida we learned English.
We lived right on the beach, literally the only thing the separated us was a wooden gate. Right next to us was a huge Navy seals base. Sometimes at night, we would hear big booms coming from the beach. If you looked out on the beach you may see Navy Seals dressed in black crawling out of the water. Other times we would see Cuban refugees land on our beach, and my dad would go out and help them out.
