Phoolan Devi is known as the Bandit queen of India. She was born on August 10, 1963 in a village Ghura Ka Purwa in Jalaun District in Uttar Pradesh. She was born in a lower caste called mallah (boatmen). Her father, obody in our family owned any shoes” (8). It is the general concept of the society that girls are not welcome in the homes when they are born. Especially the poor have problems with the birth of a girl child because they think girls extra burden to their poverty. In the novel Inside the Haveli when a girl is born to the poor servant Gar khat with her younger sister, Choti. They had to spread straw under them so that they might save themselves from the cold wealthier.

The Pradhan of their village was a wicked man. The girls of the low caste had to do the work told by the upper caste men. Phoolan also has to work in the Pradhan’s house. One day the village Pradhan slapped her when she asked a piece of mango from her. She asks, ‘Please can I have a little piece of mango?” (10) Phoolan Devi gets a very fierce slap instead of getting any mango. Phncle Bihari creates problem three times in the marriage of her sister, Rukmani but the last time he could not break this marriage because the groom party told him if he tried to meddle with the affair he will be in trouble. In fact, her uncle Bihari had fears that this family was strong and after this marriage they will lose their power. One day there is a fight between Phoolan and her sister, Choti. When they go to their home running, Choti tells her mother that Phoolan is beating her. Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress, written by Dai Sijie, is set in 1971 during the China’s Cultural Revolution. The book starts with two boys, unnamed narrator and his friend Luo being sent from their hometown Chengdu to a small village in Phoenix Mountain to be “re-educated”. The book continues with them skillfully living through the harsh village life with their talent of storytelling and their western knowledge gained from books. Chay and Henry were eating at the Chowder Mug. Both the staff and two fishermen who were eating at the Chowder Mug started bullying Chay because Chay was Cambodian. As Chay and Henry leave the Chowder Mug, the two fishermen follow the boys outside and one of the fishermen yells “‘Hey, gook, where do you think you’re going?’ Chay stopped and turned around. Even in the dark, Henry could see in Chay’s face an anger greater than he had ever felt.
As the world is now developing by day, resulting in changes of culture, it is wise to take note that despite of one’s own cultural background, everyone may have their own interpretations, practices and lifestyles that should be understood in order to respect their beliefs and achieve mutual consent. In Inem, an Indonesian story by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, it gives the readers some idea of what it is like for a small, poor girl to live in among the Indonesian culture. Inem, an eight year old girl, was a servant in Gus Muk’s house and described as a sweet, well-mannered, skillful and hardworking girl. It was stated in the story that she would make a good daughter-in-law which tells the readers of the standards that is sought after by the Indonesians in looking for their spouses. After that, Inem was forced to get married by her own mother at such a young age as her family lives in poverty, so, marrying the daughter can trim down the outlays of the family.
These two sisters have grown together all through their life’s, creating a strong bound, and the fact that her family and a “old guy” is taking away her sister is something she can’t stand. In the end Nea believes that she is saving Sourdi from Mr.Chhay and her mother. However what Nea does not understand in all her youth and idealism , is that sourdi does not want to be saved: She willfully accepts her fate and her marriage to Mr.Chhay because she finds financial stability and a secure future.

Her Future Some children around the world grew in different environment with many complex problems .some suffer different family problems such as beatings, raping or trauma or hard labor. Most of these children end up taking bad decision such as suicide, abortion or dropping out of school. All these decision delays country development and destroys children future. Most of children bad decisions are as result of both physical and neglect from their families .
The family’s girl may also become a victim as critics will increase towards this girl’s honor. In addition, if the woman choose to have this child; at some points in her life, it will remind her of the event when she got raped which will bring her bad memories and create a long lasting trauma. Chapter 1 I find this very shocking a mother or any person in general would have such a cold heart to be treating their own child like this. The torture and the harm she has cause this boy can really damage him now and in the future. He’s so innocent and to get treated this way isn’t fair hoping he turns out to be alive.
