An Atlanta mother went on a rampage, massacring her family by stabbing four of her children and her husband to death, but one child who survived, described the chilling moments the murders took place. Nine-year-old Diana Romero watched as her mother, Isabel Martinez, picked up a knife from the kitchen and slashed her family members one by one as they slept, KSDK reports. The woman took the lives of her husband, 33-year-old Martin Romero, 10-year-old Isabela Martinez, seven-year-old Dacota Romero, four-year-old Dillan Romero, and two-year-old Axel Romero, before she picked up the phone and called 911 to report they were dead. Diana was left in serious, but stable, condition after her mother's attack. The surviving child told investigators about her day to day life before she witnessed her mother viciously wiped out her entire family, describing playing outside with the neighbors, watching tv with her brothers and sisters, and spending time playing board games with them. …show more content…
According to WGRZ, Isabel also discussed the family trip to Savannah with investigators following the murders, but her story included some different details. The mother claimed she didn't want to be there because she felt "devil-like spirit in Savannah," adding the waves tried to take her and her children away, adding she she "just wanted to save them." Diana's happiness ended when the family returned home and the bloodshed began. In excess of the nine years, Gina Dejesus, Michelle Knight and Amanda Berry were tied up with chains stuck in between the walls. That had to give birth to Amanda Berry’s daughter in captivity. On November 26th, 2000, the lives of Hillary Hawkhead, Sharon Hawkhead and Michelle Tiernan were turned completely upside down. The next time was to be seen, was after being tortured and murdered by a psychopath. Leanne Tiernan was a happy and confident teenage girl.
Albert DeSalvo The Boston Strangler is a name given to the murderer of thirteen women in and near Boston, Massachusetts in the early 1960s. Although Albert DeSalvo confessed to the crimes and DNA evidence linked him to the last victim, some investigators still believe that not all thirteen murders could have been committed by one person. Between June 14, 1962 and January 4, 1964, thirteen women ranging in age from nineteen to seventy-five were found murdered in their respective apartments. Most had been strangled; one had been stabbed.
Mary Ann Cotton is a suspected serial killer from the 19th century in Britain. She was convicted of killing one of her stepchildren. Even though there was only that one charge brought against her, she is thought to have killed fourteen others, maybe as many as twenty-one. Everyone around Mary seemed to die from unexplained children, husbands, her children, even her mother. Each time one would die, she would collect some insurance and move on.
The murders had a major effect on these seven people. In late september into early October, seven people died unexpectedly in the Chicago area. The youngest of the seven was a girl named Mary Kellerman. She was a 12-year-old who took one Tylenol capsule to assuage her pain before falling on the floor of her home. The doctors later assumed it was a stroke.

The Murder Case of Jennifer Jackson: Article Analysis The case that I decided to analyze was one about an 18 year old girl who was convicted of killing her mother, but nine years later her case was overturned because of evidence that was withheld from her trial. The most notable ghost has to be the ghost of Room 311, Annalisa Netherly. There are three different stories explaining the cause of her death. The first one states that she was a prostitute who was murdered by a Confederate soldier and left in the room.
The woman’s face was bloody; she cried for help, and at that time, all I could do was yell for my mother from the comfort of my home. This was a scene I never that I’d have to witness in front of my house. Her body crumpled to the ground, I remember before this, she had staggered by my house as me and my sister were playing and asked to use our house phone. Of course, at that time, my sisters and I hysterically asked our mother phone if she could use the phone, she said yes. The woman looked like she was in rush as she punched in the numbers, but I don’t remember if there was ever a response.
After watching Martina McBride “Concrete Angel”, it was a bittersweet moment because someone took the time to talk about the issues we overlook in a society that poses a problem; instead of, songs promoting self-destruction. This video was heartfelt because situations like these do exist; I was hoping that nothing happened to Angela that someone would reach out and help her. This video made the statement how abuse and neglect are emotionally unrecognized until the scars are visibly seen, even then it still goes unnoticed. Also, the lyrics itself helps the listener connect to the song and empathize with the child, as she says, “sometimes she wishes she was never born”, some children would agree with the statement because they feel they are the
