Dick Butkus was born on December 9th, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. He weighed only thirteen pounds and six ounces. Out of the eight children in his family, he was the first to be born in a hospital. Don Butkus and Emma Butkus was his parents. They lived on the south side of the city, which meant that his family and him lived in a bad neighborhood.
