Love resembles a fire, difficult to start, easy to set off, throughout Romeo and Juliet's journey, Friar Laurence is the water, setting off their love with the worst decisions he could possibly make. In The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, occurs many different scenes portraying the story of two star-crossed lovers, hence the name, to their lamentable death. But throughout this whole play, Friar Laurence was easily the magnet for the most chaos between their love, making very unintelligent decisions that lead to their death. Although Friar Laurence seems very helpful, he easily proves to cause the most disorder causing the inevitable death of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence admits countless times he couldn't help Romeo with his love affair, but the main problem was improper plan making, which lacks a large extent of time and thought.
The first reason why Friar Laurence is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet is because he married them in secret. After Romeo and Juliet fell in love, they asked for Friar Laurence to marry them in secret. Because he did, both families did not know about the marriage and the Capulet's tried to marry off Juliet. Desperate to avoid the marriage, Romeo and Juliet would both end up dying in a failed plan to end the marriage. If the marriage had been revealed to both families, it may have acted as a bridge between the two families to end the feud without further bloodshed.
Some might argue that Friar Lawrence should take the blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, but he was only doing what they asked of him. The Friar was only trying to help people for the better. In Act 2, Scene 3, the Friar agrees to marrying Romeo and Juliet in hopes of ending the feud. He thinks that these two might have a chance at bringing the two families together and to stop the chaos. He was concerned on marrying them, but dreamed of what could happen in the end.

A question that we have been all trying to answer is, who caused the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Well, I believe that Friar Lawrence, the parents of Juliet( capulet and lady capulet), and the family feud in general caused the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. They came to the priest asking for a life together and pure serenity, in which resulted in a catastrophic death. To support my claim, Friar Lawrence is the primary target because of the secrets he kept from everyone. Friar lawrence should have never agreed to marry Romeo and Juliet.

In this play to young lovers fight to stay together, ultimately ending any chance they had of being together while they were alive, all caused by a single act from each of them. Even though Romeo and Juliet physically ended their own lives, the Nurse and character flaws should be responsible for their early deaths. Many people may have a counter example to my examples, so I have planned ahead to stop them in their tracks.

I believe that The Feud, Friar Lawrence and Tybalt all play a role in Romeo and Juliet's death. The Feud between the families was quite major and with Romeo (a Montague) and Juliet (a Capulet) falling in the love, it made it even worse. The families of Romeo and Juliet didn't support their love and if there wasn't a feud between the Montague's and Capulet's, Friar Lawrence wouldn't have had to create a plan to hide their marriage. Friar Lawrence played a big role in Romeo and Juliet's relationship and his actions ultimately lead to the death of the two. He marries the two behind their families back, creates a potion for Juliet to fake her death and fled Juliet at her tomb, where she then killed herself.
