There is a difference between junk food and fast food. Fast food is food that fast and easy to make and eat whereas junk food is food that contains excessive amount of oil, salt and sugar and can harm your health. In every 1 km you walk or you pass by there is a MacDonald or any other junk food restaurant. Even if didn’t you will be hunted by a billboard or an advertisement of a new tasty meal. Junk food became a major health issue when the world was shocked of the huge number of obese children. As a result, we should avoid eating junk food due to the countless health issues cussed by it . In my opinion the problems are divided to two main problems. First obesity and second is heart diseases.

According to The world health organization WHO 13% of the adult population are obese and people should take this seriously. Shockingly, 42 million children under the age of 5 were overweight or obese in the last two years [2]. The extreme amount of oil in the junk food turns into fat and it pile up in you body. Junk food can also make you feel lazy and sleepy which eventually causes obesity. On the same hand, people who are suffering from obesity also suffer from depression. People like to eat a lot in times of depression. The food that people love to eat when they’re sad or depressed is called “comfort food”. Comfort food such as fries, soda and ice cream and obviously they are available in Junk food restaurants. In addition, over weighted children or teens experience bullying in school because of their weight and it can cause psychological issues which leads us back to depression “comfort food”.
