There is seemingly a distinction for people when it comes to the sciences and the humanities. At times this results in debates between the two. Humans categorize things by similarities, but by analyzing and by delving deeper, the lines between categories blur and break apart. Looking at both the sciences and humanities, and at a certain level of understanding, similarities and the need for one another become apparent. The sciences include subjects such as physics, chemistry, and biology. More often than not the results of these subjects result in tangible objects like bridges or buildings, medicine, and prosthetics. Science also uses the scientific method, which uses observation, experimentation, and the formulation, testing, and modification of a hypothesis to come up with theories that hold up against scrutiny. Lastly, when it comes to solving a problem, science prefers to have one answer as opposed to multiple. Science allows us to advance for our own comfort, and or need as humans to solve a problem whether we see it or not. Humanities encompass subjects such as the arts, literature, language, and theology. As opposed to science, the humanities have multiple perspectives, as each human is entitled to their own view. And because of this, theories in the humanities can mean several different things,. according to an individual.
