Globalization is probably a new term to describe a process that has existed a long time ago. In the past years distance has been overcome and other barriers have been lowered or even removed to facilitate the exchange of goods and services. While there are many factors that have contributed to the growth of Globalization, it is mainly the actions or management of business that has done more contribution to its growth.

Over the last decade there has been a significant increase in multinational corporations that have operations all over the world and is common for the main office to send managers to the companies abroad. Multinational companies appoint staff from both the original country and the host country. It hires higher level authority from the main office and country and although the remuneration and allowances are higher the living in a foreign country is very challenging. The main challenge for managers working abroad is the issue of adaption-adopting to the totally new culture including language, food, climate and local customs. This issue is known as Culture Shock. This is a term used for early and profound negative experiences in a new culture, It also refers to the feeling of distress and unease when being exposed to a foreign culture. Most companies are not now preparing their managers who are sent abroad by training and studying the culture of the country they are being sent. Three ways of dealing with Culture Shock include: Communication- being able to speak and understand the language of the foreign country. Connections: A support group of workers and friends who can offer assistance, giving the foreigner a sense of belonging and well-being. And third the company should have someone in the foreign country who can provide
